Since LogansGamingRoom decided to drop out of the contest, someone on Discord was able to volunteer to fill in the vacant spot. After getting confirmation from the other members, Truncated will be working with PearlASE, andypanther, and Randomno. Thank you Truncated for doing this for them.
Looks like we've got competition now!
Five teams out of six are now nameless!
They're copying my winning strategy!
Now everyone's saving frames on name entry!
For those curious, just glance over the prior DTCs. There's a strong correlation between winning teams and short names. It's clear the meta now is to go nameless teams, such a boring strategy, no variation.
We have been discussing a team name but didn't get round to making a decision.
Our team name is Part-Time Crime (PART being the initials of our usernames).
Logo maybe idk
I will say, I really enjoy the choice of this game so far. The simplicity of the mechanics makes the game very digestable and fun to TAS. Hope everyone else is having a fun time with it.
Banjo-Tooie runner, DTC 8, 9, 10, and 11 winner, but more importantly, "When's GR?"
Current projects:
Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge - 100% (50 minutes)
Mario Party 1 - All Boards (est: 4-6 hours)
Mario Party 3 - All Minigames (est: 40-50 minutes, not sure)

"It's as if I knew what was going to happen. It's as if I had the plan written in front of me and I was reading it. I mean, I do have it in front of me, but I'm not reading it." -garagedooropener
Wanted to do a quick check-in post since over 2 weeks have passed since the game reveal. From what I've gathered, folks are enjoying the game which is good news. I also hope everyone's been making a decent bit of tangible progress so far. If not, then you at least got a little less than 5 weeks to go at least.
Someone reminded me about a thing that's probably super important. If you're going to DM your input file link to me, please use an external file storage resource like Google Drive, Dropbox, and other such file sharing services. I just don't want y'all accidentally leak your progress or anything like that to the other teams.
Darkman here gathering information about how people are enjoying the game, yet I haven't been consulted. I demand a recount!
But no yeah I do enjoy the game.
I was informed that insetting credits into the machine affects the game's RNG. For the purposes of maintaining the contest rule of being a one credit clear, this technique will be forbidden to use.
Y'all got about 16 days left though so there's still a fair amount of time to work on your submissions. Wish y'all luck!
Hey y'all. There a bit less than a week left to send in your submissions, updates, and all that. I would like a status report from someone on your team if possible to see how everyone's faring. Hopefully well, but if you do have concerns do let me know as soon as possible by however means you can reasonably message me.
Team Name - The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly + some 4th Guy
The team's doing great! Morale is surprisingly high given how confident we are of getting last. (Maybe we'll even complete the game).
Did you know that 24: The Game can be completed in a casual playthrough in less than 24 hours? Talk about false advertising. Imagine the worst YouTube clickbait thumbnail imaginable.
Speaking of 24 hours, that's the time you got to make your final DTC input file submission if your team hasn't already! Even if it's not fully complete, I'd definitely take any submission rather than none at all. Just as long as y'all have been having a good time with Crime City is all I really want in the end, though. Despite the last day I don't want to rush folks.
I'd like to remind all teams of this. 2 teams have so far uploaded them to userfiles. As half the teams have staff members, this means half the teams have access to those movies, and at least know that 2 teams have done this without even having to view the site.
"Have access to" and "are actually using" are two very different things. If a staff person were to abuse their privilege to look at the work of another team in a friendly competition with absolutely no stakes, that would be really low, and that staff person would likely get a stern talking to and hopefully a removal from staff.
Also, just to clarify, I hope that by "have done this" you mean "uploaded files to userfiles" and not "abused staff privilege to look at input files for this contest".
I am still the wizard that did it.

<scrimpy> at least I now know where every map, energy and save room in this game is
