EDIT; By using 2 players and refined strategies, this TAS has been improved by 79 frames: https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638339044864865987
NOTE: This TAS was originally finished on 1 October 2023.
About the Game(s):
Action 52 is an unlicensed game made for the NES and Sega Genesis, featuring - you guessed it - 52 different video games. The NES version was published in 1991, whereas the Genesis version was published in 1993. Both versions were published by Active Enterprises.
Fire Breathers is game 1/52 in the NES version of Action 52. You play as the red Fire Breather who has to defeat the blue Fire Breather 8 times.
About the TAS:
This TAS aims for Any%, which means completing all 8 levels.
Gameplay/Tech:
Fire Breathers may be the easiest game in the entirety of Action 52. The goal - to defeat the opponent - is very straightforward.
By going far enough to the right to fire at the blue Fire Breather and then mashing A at a rate of 15fps, we can complete most of the levels in under a second.
Level 8 takes a bit longer because we have to go past a wall before firing at the blue Fire Breather.
And That’s It!
Thanks for reading. If you find any improvements, please e-mail me on the TASVideos website.

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Uploading improvement movie.
nymx: Ok...now this is more like it. Thanks for redoing your movie. I as I judged this moview, I was reminded of your earlier TAS, Overclocked "2 Players", where this same exact concept was applied and accepted. With this submission, I apply the same judgement.
Accepting.

Wow...all I can say, is that this is truly the year of Action 52!
I recently discovered that if you haven't reached a level of frustration with TASing any game, then you haven't done your due diligence. ---- SOYZA: Are you playing a game? NYMX: I'm not playing a game, I'm TASing. SOYZA: Oh...so its not a game...Its for real? ---- Anybody got a Quantum computer I can borrow for 20 minutes? Nevermind...eien's 64 core machine will do. :) ---- BOTing will be the end of all games. --NYMX

Ok...I know this is going to be shocking, but I'm finding where optimization is not good enough. Let me explain... After a discussion with other judges, a game where Player 1 beats up Player 2 (a non-CPU driven player) can be accepted; however, you are not using Player 2's inputs to position the opponent for faster kills. Strangely enough, the first level seems to be fine. On stage 3, I was able to cut 8 frames easily by moving the opponent to a closer location to the firing. Since this was obvious and easily accomplished...I'm going to ask that you redo your TAS to clean this up, rather than just slapping a rejection to it. Please let me know when you get this cleared up. Thanks.

This userfile still only contains input for 1 player. Make sure that when you are exporting your TAS to an .fm2 file that you are selecting the 2 Players option.

well that was easy. player 2's input was still there, i just had to change the export settings from 1 Player to 2 Players. https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638339044864865987

You can wraparound the screen, which was used in RTA runs. https://www.speedrun.com/action52/runs/znk8r03z Could this have been used in the TAS?
