Is there any reason you chose to use the PRG1 version rather than the PRG0 version?

I do not have particular reason of my choice, but what I can say is: the movie work fine on both versions (PRG0 and PRG1) I am unaware of the difference that there is between these versions. To answer to FODA: yes, I can do the rest with pleasure and I manage to get the perfect time!, but for now, I have a problem on the map world: Normally, when we hold the good direction button, the character advance to the next step soon as possible, but sometime, he blocks when he can move and I must wait 1 frame before moving. Exemple: in my japan version the character did not block on both steps before the tank level, but in my 2 others versions, he blocks on both steps before this level. It's not related to the game version: FODA was the same problem in his version.

genisto, i dont know what is causing it...i know that if you hold the good firection, you have to wait 1 second i think and then it will never stop for any frames, no matter how long is the path, but you have to hold for 1 second on the start... so... that would save time only in a 60 curves path. i didnt even know it was possible to not stop on some points, and you are saying you could do it once. i dont know :P

So.. it's Genisto now playing? How's it progressing? By the way, genisto.servehttp.com still seems to not respond.

That's not what I like to hear. :( Couldn't you have just lied and said you'll work on it after a year?

My ego prevents me from admitting that anyone could be better than someone else at timeattacks :) It's only the matter of energy and time.

Well, anyway, i have the energy, but i dont know programming so he is that step ahead of me (to find bugs, etc). Besides, i have no time i need to focus on the game i'm developing for university i'm 8 months late already.

Eight months. Poor you. :) Well, at least we'll be seeing it soon. And it's being made in FCE Ultra, right? If it's being made in Famtasia, then I want to say again that I think maybe Famtasia should be hacked to have a different palette. It can add a lot to a video, in my opinion.

actually, a run with that code would be very cool. You could switch powerups whenever you want by just pressing the select button. Imagine flying with the feather, then switching to frog suit when you hit the water, then changing to hammer bros. suit to finish off the last few enemies at the end of the level.

Sounds like the code unlocks a debug mode in the code that was nop'd out. Although it's not what we do, I think it would be extremely cool if we had someone attempt to go through the entire game as fast and as cool as possible using that code.

I ask again - how's it going with SMB3? And the server still (or again) doesn't respond.

Maybe Genisto isn't working on it. We might never hear back. That's why I think Foda should keep working on it. It couldn't hurt.

I remember it took some time before he released his smb2 run. He could just be busy, but I'm really looking forward to this run.

I have never done a timeattack movie before.....the only game "recording" I have done before is recorded Quake 3 demos from Single Player Mode; Every track made in Perfect (means never to die; to be fragged :)), massive excellent and impressive & of course won on all tracks. Anyways, here is my second Game "recording". Super Mario Bros 3 (SNES version) made all by me. But I havn't done like you people here....I have never use some speed/slow motion on my rec, not either a single savestat etc. I have insteed made 17 SMV recordings....one SMV for like one track, and put all that together, with a nice intro movie, to a nice looking timeattack movie, ithink! =) I am not super good in SMB3, but damn I love that game, one of the best game of all time. I'm just pretty good at it. But some tracks in the movie are really nice, for being played from the start to the end of the track with no savetats etc. I tried to do my best....tried as fast as possible and do some tricks here and there so it will not be boring to watch. The ONLY thing that I am not proud of is in the end of the movie, before you meet the last boss, before the lava there....I think you will see where I mean...2 BIG misstakes that takes maybe 1-2 second of my timeattack. :( And one thing more......THIS GAME is not the same as the original....IN the org you can jump higher, but in the SNES version you can jump longer. It means that you cant do the same tricks, almost the same however. Sorry for only 30 FPS. It is the got dammit VirtualDub who suck because it cant save AVI files with 60 fps (if you change that I mean), all the time the numbers of FPS turned to 59,9999999 insteed. So I fixed my movie in Roxio's VideoWave 7....damn what a good program....or WAS, until I found out that it only have 30 FPS for max. So thats because it is 30. The rest is fixed with Virtdub/nandub of course! I am working now on my sec timeattack move: SMB-World and when it will be finish, then I will try to make that in 60 FPS and re-realese my SMB3 with 60 also. I know some may think now....skip this crap and show me where the file is download-able?! Hehe! I cant do that!! Because I dont have a website to upload it with.. But there is one way. Get DC++ can be found here: http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/ and download it (if you dont have it). Then install it and take Quick connect in the File Menu alt.: CTRL+Q. You can find me on 3 adresses where the Share limit is 0 byte =)). Here is the adresses.....write it in the Quick connect field and press OK.: uknomadsworldredirect.servebeer.com snigeln.mine.nu HgMz.no-ip.com My name is urk_77 & these HUBS have like only 5-30 pers. Get my file list and download my AVI file. All set!! I have my DC++ up now (24 H) a couple of days. Comments please! *TeiOch*
