Hello. Please try opening Devi to Pii (Japan) (Mega Drive Mini 2).md (ED17976C) with the latest BizHawk dev build for Windows and clean settings. It gives me a blank screen.
The ROM loads correctly if I change the core to PicoDrive.

Possibly a bad dump? I have a working copy which EmuHawk identifies as SHA1:10CA6E57C66E4B56FC73270AB2F82DFD48277091 (not in gamedb).

Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems. Not problems like "What is software," because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems. For instance, how am I gonna stop some high-wattage thread-ripping monster of a CPU dead in its tracks? The answer: use code. And if that don't work? Use more code.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
Reportedly the raw ROM itself cannot normally run on other emulators nor real hardware, it has to be patched to do so (presumingly some code to prevent running the game on anything but the emulator in the Mega Drive Mini 2). PicoDrive reportedly running it is probably by some horrible inaccuracy if anything somehow considering how old the core we have is.
