General notes about the run

  • This game's mechanic is not the worst but I didn't like the fact that you're jump height is always fixed (Contra like),
  • Attacking an enemy allows walking through its hitbox without taking damage... Pretty neat!
  • During boss fights, you can keep stage music rather than boss music, if you jump at the earliest frame ever when you spawn. I didn't use this most of the time because the stage music for all five levels is the same. I used it twice, first in first level, and second in last level where I turned off music completely xD
  • Bosses loop their attack if you hit them as early as possible, except for stage 3 where this trick doesn't work. It saves a good amount of time
  • If you spawn an object, I guess its timer starts. At 2:53 (encode), landing on that platform without wasting that cycle was the hardest part of the entire run. Basically, I figured that if I load the platform object later, which is possible at the beginning of the stage, then I can start its timer barely earlier to so I can make it to the platform. Was very stressing in a way!!
  • If you swing or shoot then duck, or while ducking the stand up, you can cancel the animation. This was a very helpful trick as it doesn't cost time to not go for it, and allows for smooth progress.
