level1-anakin well... someone was bound to attempt this sooner or later... and seeing as how it plays a bit better (IMO) than the other NT games for GBA, i figured on giving it a try. note, i am using Anakin... im not really sure why, perhaps the allure of playing as a Hero-turns-Villian? anyhow, i beat the game last week and clocked in at 38 minutes (granted, there were LOADS of mistakes in that). im 700 or so frames ahead of my old time. this IS my first beat em up style game, so im using what could be the equivalent of the DD2 Flying Knee technique so far (Leaping Lightsabers? hahaha). im not sure if this is entertaining or if i should try and use force abilities toppled w/lightsaber combat. also, i CANT access MASTER (=Hard Mode) w/out SRAM (i think... i haven't found any codes for it yet). so thats why im playing on Jedi. im also trying to figure out which of the "Techniques" i should customize. if anyone has any input on this, it would be greatly appreciated. anyhow, let me know what you think.

Reviving this topic for interest in a new run. I made a WIP myself: Microstorage Youtube If anyone else is interested here's what I think should be some parameters: -Should be completed fast but also have entertainment tradeoffs -Should upgrade Force Rage if using Anakin. Thoughts?

I wasn't expecting much but I found that surprisingly entertaining. As long as you can keep some variety in the combat a full run should be worthwhile. How long would you estimate a TAS would be?

I wonder if doing the DS version would be better, because it has the flying sequences that the GBA version doesn't.
Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.

Looking great. Maybe to improve the time, it would be possible to abuse the long distance powers (pull enemy & throw object) ?

Probably about 35-45 mins, give or take

No, the flying stages are long, tedious, and interrupt the fast paced Double Dragon/Streets of Rage type gameplay

Yes, but keep in mind this is a speed/entertainment run so far. Using the same moves over and over again would be boring no? Also I redid the 1st Boss (I felt it was lacking in the entertainment department) and did the next 2 levels: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/629107667/wip2.vbm Youtube

Here's the next 2 levels: Link to video Something that took time for me to perfect was Jedi Style reward points. Here's how my reward/customization point plan goes: I need at least 105 pts to upgrade Force Rage to Level 3 so I can abuse it in boss battles. There are 10 hidden throughout the level. You get a max of 5 for how fast you beat the level (not a problem). You get a max of 10 for Jedi style. This is your usage of abilities and such. (Getting 10 in this category is a pain in the ass because there's always 1 that I can never get for whatever reason, but considering I have more than enough only missing 1 a stage, I don't consider it a huge loss.) That's 25 a level. There are 5 non-boss levels before the Mace Windu boss fight (since level 3 is the Count Dooku fight so we'll leave it out). That's 125 if all are collected. At first I didn't get the 10 hidden ones in Level 1 because it brings up a box explaining what they are and decided I would have enough anyway. However, it has just occurred to me that if I got those 10 hidden custom pts I could upgrade force rage to level 2 before Dooku and possibly beat him faster. I haven't tested if this IS faster yet but what do you guys think? I'm only 5 levels in so it's not a huge deal to start all over but I'm open for options. EDIT: Getting Rage to lv 2 before Dooku is pointless considering how scripted the fight is.

I positively hated this game, but you've done a great job making it look entertaining. Looking forward to seeing the finished run.

After almost a year of no posts, I finally got around to more Star Wars 3, here's the next WIP: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/980687026/wip6.vbm I'm at 19:52 and I'm half way through the game. EDIT: Encode Link to video I'm planning on getting the Saber Throw power for more pizazz now that I have Rage.

This game is awesome and was one of my favorite games as a kid, so I thought I could do a fastest time of it using Obi-wan. The GBA version is better than the DS version because it has more confortable controls and doesn't have those spaceship segments.

So... anyone else see why this link is pointless or just me?

I'll bring up Resident Evil here (I would bring up Gex 2/3 and Rayman 2 too with differences between n64 and ps1). Because you can have any version ran.
