~260KB, of course this is limitied by my download rate. I'm told at work when we download updated OS CDs, they come at several MB a second.

I have proof that I've had 342 KB/sec at one time. To compare, the best download rate I'd ever gotten via HTTP was 375.

Through somethingawful, you can get around 8 MB/sec on more popular things. For reference, the highest i have seen through FTP is only 5 MB

Fastest ever was around 640KB/sec, completely saturating my downstream, while downloading FreeBSD 5.4. No other torrent has ever gotten close; second best I've ever seen is maybe 200KB/sec.

About 170 to 175 kb/s is the most I've gotten, and that's the bandwidth limit, anyway. In fact, with TCP/IP overhead and so on, I'm always surprised when I manage to squeeze that much from a 1.5 Mbps downstream. :)

Looks like I win. Yay for UCSD internet connection. It's probably the fattest pipe in all of the Southwestern US. Some of you have seen what it's capable of via Azureus (namely Nrg and Bisqwit) whenever I go on a seeding frenzy. Then again, 2 days after I chew up their bandwidth, the UC Regents tend to cut my internet for a few days as punishment. A friend of mine lives in a building where there's a shared internet connection. The great thing about it is that it's completely unlimited to everyone, meaning that if nobody else in the same building is using it you get its full capacity. I have seen him downloading more than 5 megabytes/s with bittorrent.

Same. If my brother and I are getting the same torrent, the only reason I'm capped is because of my wireless connection.
