It's a 8-bit spin-off featuring Gunvolt from Azure Striker Gunvolt, Ekoro from Gal*Gun and Beck from Mighty No. 9
The game has 2 versions where V1.0 is the day 1 Japanese version and V2.0 is the day 1 Western version.
V1.0 Pros:
Level entry and exit animations didn't exist.
V1.0 Con
Gunvolt's charge attack takes a bit longer to fully charge.
Ekoro can only fire up to 3 bullets on the screen at once.
V2.0 Pro
Gunvolt's charge attack is quicker to fully charge up.
Ekoro can fire up to 4 shots on the screen at once.
V2.0 Cons:
Level entry and exit animations were added wasting a bit of time per level.
Tricks
* Mega damage
As Gunvolt, if you let go the attack button to stop your charge attack at the right time, the boss will take a lot more damage than the usual 3, if you shoot a pellet and that hits at the same time, it's included in the mega hit.
Viper, Jota and Zonda can usually take 2 orbs from a distance but at near point blank range with GV's charge attack at an angle, they can take 3 orbs.
Stratos the 3rd boss has a wide hitbox and can take up to 5 orbs for a massive 15 points of damage.
* First attack RNG manipulation.
Against the train boss: Viper, it's possible to change his first attack AI by collecting less fruit and/or kill less enemies before the next room transition. I'm not good at finding the addresses for RNG values at the moment.
Best Boss RNG for GV:
*Viper
1) High jump to the middle and then fire a series of fireballs.
*Mr. Demon Plant Jr.
1) You want this boss's first action to spawn a pair of tentacles from the floor, not the walls. After taking out the tentacles and revealing his weakspot, you can wiggle the charge attack up and down to make the weapon leave/re-enter the hitbox to deal a lot of damage per second.
*Stratos
1) His first attack should be his chomp move, this form starts to appear from the side GV isn't facing, but with a creative AI manipulation you can fire a pellet and then charge up the attack, with good positioning you can get 4 orbs into Stratos as he leaves damage i-frames from the earlier pellet, then fire another pellet so that he has lost 14 HP from his first attack.
2) He should reappear and for GV instead of aiming his charge attack at a high angle, aim at a 68 degree angle and release at the right time on the second hit for a massive 15 points of damage.
*Jota
1) You want him to use his turret placement attack and his first spawn should be pretty low and near a corner. The first hit should be a 9 and then the next four hits should be 3 + 9 and then another 3 + 9. You can try and see if you can get a pellet on the first two x9 dmg hits so that the last 2 charge attacks doesn't require any advance technique.
*Zonda
1) The best male attack RNG is when he summons his four mirrors with 2 of them on each side.
2) He can use the gender change mirror as his first action too
3) The best female attack RNG is when she is inside her mirror and starts to float around erracticly, like the second boss if your charge attack leaves/re-enters the protective hitbox, you should be able to take it out pretty quickly.
3DS version has faster loading times against the PC version.

I did speedrun this game in the past. Would be so cool to TAS this but I lack some knowledge on how RNG works lol.
The RNG can be iffy. There are multiple factors from enemy kills to your current position.
Viper: After performing an action if you're too close to him, he will prioritise his flame slide over anything else.
Mr. Demon Plant Jr: I was able to manipulate his first attack by using GV's charge attack for a period of time along with adjusting what enemy should live or die before entering the room.
Stratos: When he is standing on a side of the room, going a few pixels too far away from the boss will force him to perform the chomp attack instead of jumping over to the other side.
Stratos's plant: This is the only regular enemy to be affected by RNG, the first encounter will cause headaches as the seeds varies but you can manipulate the first plant somewhat by changing the enemy kills and revealing a hidden ice cream item.
Jota: Probably one of the more picky RNG to manipulate, my first version got really good RNG but my current version so far is struggling to recreate that RNG.
