This TAS solves all 168 puzzles and collects all 300 hint coins, and is a tribute to my late grandmother. She loved with this series when I played them with her, and so I named the parrot in this TAS "Grump" because that's what we named it in our playthrough, after one of her birds.

Professor Layton and his young assistant Luke Triton receive an baffling letter. Luke's older self, from 10 years into the future needs help from the Layton of 10 years prior to help save London from an enormous threat. Why couldn't he ask the Layton of his time? How did the letter travel through time? How were they expected to travel through time? The pair head to the clock shop mentioned in the letter to begin their investigation.

• Some cutscenes and credits cannot be skipped.
  • Puzzle solution text also cannot be skipped, and must finish before being able to move on.
• In chapter 12, where the big exposition dump happens and the truth about Future London is revealed: right before the "London Warped" mystery is stamped with "The Whole Story," I skip some frames in text mashing just a little bit. If the text mashing was done perfectly, the stamping animation would play without any sound, which does happen earlier with certain other sound effects during voiced dialogue, but also have an extra 2 or 3 seconds of waiting before being able to tap "OK."
