"For this submission, since the ROM hack couldn't be found on romhacking.net, I included both the modified ROM and the gameplay video in the compressed package for easy access and viewing.
This hack features optimizations to reduce lag and frame drops, along with significant changes to certain stages, weapon acquisitions, and boss mechanics. The standout adjustment is the Top Man weapon, which I used extensively for speedrunning due to its ability to accelerate movement. Weapon balance has also been overhauled.
Thanks to the optimizations targeting frame drops, large-scale stuttering is rarely encountered during gameplay."
fsvgm777 note: Replaced the link to a ROM with one to a BPS patch I created myself. Apply to an unmodified Rockman 3 ROM. Thanks for understanding.

feos: Claiming for judging.

What a glowup for Top Spin. Hell Wheel (Rockman 4 Minus Infinity) might finally have some competition.

Boy, I'm surprised our blue bomber hero didn't get dizzy from all that high-speed spinning flight! :P A lot of the roughness of the original Rock Man/Mega Man 3 was simply the consequence of behind-the-scenes trouble (in particular a rushed development cycle that lead to a LOT of stuff being cut out), so a hack that can bring it up to the quality standards of Mega Man 2 is definitely a worthwhile effort. I am disappointed that the Breakman battles in the Robot Master stages aren't here, but that blame is on the hack's creator, not the TASer of the run. Yes vote!
