Personally, I fast forwarded through the entire thing after Rock Candy was obtained... very boring. Of course, if it's faster than the current publication, I endorse obsoletion!

I made low LV run. Here is smv. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1308311381/lowlv_nolimit.smv You can play on Japanese rom. This run includes many better movements and some better strategy. I hope you to enjoy it.
This is faster than the current run even though you stayed at extremely low levels. Very entertaining.

How much of the time difference is due to Japanese text vs. English?

Thanks all:) >onReload I'll upload the whole run on youtube in 3~4 days. Then, you can ask me. >Tristal I suppose some people is bored with abusing Rock Candy. But I improved the fight and movement too. >Derakon I don't calculate the time of text. I assume the difference is 5 minutes. English text is too long than that of Japanese. EDIT I decided to improve published version. I'll change the strategy of many battles and copy movements from my latest smv. 5013 frames saved before Forest Maze.(compared with published ver) I took only 2 exp by star in Bandit's way, not take star in Kero Sewers and Froggie Stick. Here is smv. http://unknown-tas.googlecode.com/svn-history/r10/trunk/SMRPG/rpgv4.smv microstorage seems not to work now. EDIT2 I found a new trick. but to our regret, I couldn't use it for the battle of Exor. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1110175198/enemydodge.smv I'm before second Bowser's Keep now. I saved 9941 frames.

Sorry for double post. My run is published, so I'm planning to 100% run. The list I'll do. The number in parenthesis is I don't decide to do. 1 Unlock all menu and place.(menu : Star Piece and Game , place : Yo'ster Isle and Grate Guy's Casino) 2 Collect all item and equip which you can get only once. 3 Open or hit once all treasure box.(include hidden treasure box) (4) Max All character's LV and FP.(not include Coin and Frog Coin) I won't do most of minigame.(Beetle Mania , Goomba Thumping in Pipe Vault etc...) Is there any opinion? Thanks.

I'm willing to bet that this run will take at least 3-4 hours to watch. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I am intrigued... In theory it would be the type of run I would be intrested in. Though obviously, an 100% for RPG would be really huge. What is the route for a 100%?

I assume (2:) means that you will collect all '1 time' items. I don't think you should have to equip them. For (3:) I think you should 'empty' all treasure boxes that can be emptied.

I love the idea, but why no "Beetle Mania" or Grate Guy? You need Grate Guy's Casino for the Star Egg, anyway, plus you can max out Frog Coins (99). Also I'd love to see a good TAS of Goomba Thumping or Yoshi Racing - unless the Yoshi Racing isn't very entertaining, then nevermind - but I forget, are there other ways to get Yoshi Cookies? Also, to the above poster ^^: I think he means all items and equippables, separately. Will you beat Culex and Smithy at Max. Lvl? Would be fun to use Luck manipulation + big attack power, right?

>Captain Forehead Yeah, this run must be over 3 hours. >paused I'm not planning the route. I have to decide the definition of 100% first. >Kirkq Yes, your 2 thoughts are right. But I'll collect "all items and all equips".Sorry, my bad English. >onReload Of course I'll do it for Star Egg. I won't do Yoshi Racing, I can get Yoshi Cookie infinitely from Race. I don't think maximize Character's LV, but I'll definitely beat those. Plus , I'll buy 5 fireworks in Moleville for better ED. I think I should do it for 100%.

I think you should play each minigame at least once in a 100% run. It seems a shame to unlock them and then not show them getting roundly trounced.

Thanks, really entertaining, not sure why I didn't just search for that before. Shame it can't be maxed over 99 points...My best (unassisted) I think rests in the 40s, and I can't do multiple bounces in one jump. was0x: How do you plan on getting enough Frog Coins for all of Frogfucius' disciple's items like See Ya!, Earlier Times, EXP Booster, etc...? I'm still very excited for this run.

With all the secret treasure chests out in the game, I expect he would get his frog coins out of those. If not, then certain minigames would give him plenty of frog coins.

>Derakon Um..I think it too. But I won't do "Beetle Mania". To take max score is too boring to watch, I think. >onReload I'll abuse "Sergent Flutter's mission". This enables me to get many Frog coins.(I can get 5 coins from every game) By the way, This video has better score of Goomba Thumping. http://dic.nicovideo.jp/v/sm1232463 (This score is too good, I may not be able to beat it.)

It looks like the Goomba Thwomping game is heavily random, so you should be able to manipulate it. A run that chain-stomped on golden goombas for the entire thing would be very impressive. :) It's a shame about Beetle Mania; I always liked that one. But yeah, I don't really see how TASing would significantly improve it...

Looking good, I guess fighting Mack is part of 100%? Can't wait to see more.

Because I don't usually watch .smv files, I'm kind of out the loop, so I'm sorry to ask again - which version of snes9x are you using? And it's the (U) version of the game?

You can find snes9x I always use here. (It syncs r98 or r64) Game version is (U). If I post smv with (J) to here, I write about the game version. EDIT I want to tell me, if I missed something in this run.
