What? The final boss is destroyed, and then immediately the credit? It seems that all the plots were removed when this game was ported to the USA. Just compare this version with the Magical Doropie (J) to see what they have done to make this version so crappy.

Hello and welcome to last year.
In other news, the game involved a witch as well as various symbols of it, so naturally NoA went heavy on the censor-o-matic and you get the dumbed down YOU WIN YAY message.

Is NoA short for Nintendo of America? I see. So Vic Tokai simply removed the cutscenes to get this game licensed. They were lazy rewiting the storyline. But I just wonder, why the very witch herself remained unchanged?
Edit: I guess I've just answered myself. They were too lazy to rewrite the whole story, so they left some clues there and expected that we would figure out what should be going on then.

There is a few improvements i found some months back.. it's going to be much faster if you use broom all the time because you can zip through corners with it and it helps you to land everywhere much faster and the broom can fasten your speed in the rooms (if they are scrolled completely) so the broom is your tool now :p
If you pause and then unpause after a jump (must have descended the same distance of the jump height) or walking off a platform you will be able to jump in midair out of the menu, this could provide for some interesting strategies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiAAtSk9Vj8
It certainly does make the game less brutal to speedrun in a real-time environment.
Edit: move right while inside walls in round 1, 3, 4 & 5
Ah, interesting, and time to start my run over again.

Not sure if this is old or not, but I just found out that if you turn around just before Francesca walks off a ledge she can start falling 1 frame earlier! Neato.
Sliding (go forward until she has fullspeed and then do no directional input) also seems to be faster than regular walking in round 2. I managed to save a whopping 7 frames alone in the third screen of 2-2 from just sliding and turning around over the current movie.
Here's a different way of doing room 2 & 3 in round 2-2 with new techniques which seems to be 23 frames faster, you might be able to squeeze another frame out of it: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/download/2241105917665576
Edit: Jump just as you finish a round & you'll fall faster on the next round. A net gain of 11 frames in round 2-3: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1589680461/krion_fastfall1.fm2 (you just have to do a regular 1 frame jump for it to work) This should save quite a lot of frames in total since you start out by falling in a lot of rounds.
9 seconds faster than the current TAS strategy and not perfectly executed here (done in real-time)

I was just about to type in "Well those were all old stuff..." when I saw the astonishing 9-seconds-improvement video with the final boss... Magnificiant discovery! That is new to me! :)
BTW, I have only made my progress only up to Act 1-2 with 220 frames saved. My TAS-time have been drained with VBA-RR bug-fixes these weeks (and with Gens which obliterated yet another of my Gens TAS attempts).

I recently picked this game as speedrun up and accidentally stumbled upon this weird warp which I couldn't make use of since the ending of the stage didn't want to trigger.
Tested on emulator and console and I got for both the same result.
Description how to trigger this glitch can be found in the description section of the youtube vid.

Already knew this but thanks anyways. :p
I finished Act 2, but now I am still trying to work out some wacky improvements in Act 1.

Actually I have completed the run since last month, but I am still improving it every half a week...

EDIT 2: Deleted.
I don't know if this strategy is faster than biggyboy's strategy, since I don't have a input to compare both strategies.
My homepage
--Currently not much motived for TASing as before...--
But I'm still working.
Both are slower than the strategy implemented in my run, but thanks anyways. I use only uncharged shots to help adjust the movement of the broom in order to stick my fire power onto the boss, which saves about 12.5 seconds from the published run.
My current run in 12:18.63 (FCEUX's timing). Good thing is that most known glitches found places in the run.
