This is, at least at the moment, my favorite Mega Man game. It's yer standard Mega Man X game, just on the smaller Game Boy Color system. It's a nice game, although a bit difficult... Anyway, there's 3 times you have to go through the game. First, you only have access to the "X Mission" (X vs. four bosses) and "Zero Mission" (Zero vs. four other bosses) which you play through as X or Zero alone, though once you reach the final stages you can switch characters on the fly. Beat both the X and Zero missions, and "Extreme Mode" opens up. You have to beat all 8 bosses before the final stages, and you can switch between X and Zero at any time. You also get to fight Sigma at the end of the game, as is usual for the series. =P Beating the Extreme Mode unlocks my favorite feature, and the subject of this thread: "Boss Attack". :) You can choose Course A (Mega Man Xtreme 1 bosses) or Course B (Mega Man Xtreme 2 bosses), and the game times you on how fast you beat them. So, without further ado... Here's an SRAM with Boss Attack unlocked. And here's a VBM recording of my current Course B best time, 3:18 (in-game...3:31 if you count all the menus and such). Let's see how much more you guys can whittle this down. =P (I'll probably do Course A later. Or not, depends on my mood. =P) Some notes: - If you hold select as you hit start to begin Boss Attack, you'll get all the armor parts. Likely useless, since having all the armor limits X to only 2 add-on parts instead of 4, and you want to cause as much damage to these guys in as little time as possible. - Likewise, since Zero's range is so short, and X's much-ballyhooed "Ultimate Buster, Buster +1, Buster +2, Speed Shot" part combo does just as much damage as Zero's saber but at long distance, Zero is apparently just as useless. =P - See how I cut off Launch Octopus's arms with the Ray Claw? There's two good reasons I wasted that time going to the menu: 1. To prevent him from doing tornadoes all over the place, rendering him invincible and eating up time like nothing else. 2. To stun him, allowing for an easy target...you'll notice he didn't get a chance to move much. =P - In the options menu, it's possible to set the select button to change weapons rather than switch to Zero. I didn't bother changing said option before starting the recording, but it might save some time as far as Launch Octopus is concerned... This isn't exactly what I'd call perfect. There are a few bosses I could've hit more at better times, I had to take some energy capsules because I also took too many hits, and I fumbled the menu during the Launch Octopus fight. =P I'd say this'd be able to be reduced to at least 3:15, maybe even 3:10. But I'll leave that to y'all. Happy Maverick blastin'. =P

Sure, go right ahead. ^_^ Actually, on the day I made this thread, I got a 3:16, but didn't record it...maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll try recording again and see if I can meet or beat that. :)
