No problem. Here are at least 4 authors (WST - MarzoJr - Aglar - Me) in this film and I'm working on some zones that I have finished, but have not performed CP2 because delaying much in-game time in some places and if there is a trick or something that can save the time, it would nice.

I've been looking CPZ2 improvement, but is few important. Only one matter how long it takes to do the second zip. I found this.

I think it's best to do this. Although there is much delays in some parts, which leads me to think that we could take another route to save time or we could take this alternative

(Ignore the re-records :P) Emerald Hill Chemical Plant Aquatic Ruin Casino Night Hill Top Mystic Cave Oil Ocean Metropolis (Incomplete Act 3) Sky Chase Wing Fortress Death Egg Later I will finish the other zones, but I leave so they can optimize what you can because I already did my part.

All right. I finished the film almost completely. All I have to determine is WFZ try to optimize it, see which route to take, which is the fastest, among others. Finally, seeing that I can optimize some zone and if we help me, even better.

It’s fun that Kiske actually goes 1 frame ahead of Tee-N-Tee (see the second spindash) in the very beginning of Hill Top 2, despite the fact that the whole stage is still very improveable. And other fun fact is that Kiske’s TAS, despite being less optimized, has much greater chance to be published, I think. It matches the criteria of the Vault, and receives good support from the viewers, making it possible to reach a moon… I also think that Knuckles could make a good use of monitor madness trick, in a way similar to Sonic

He had sent a private message to the jugde so that they can replace the movie for this. And I have made some zones but few optimizations were successful. Now I want to rest a little of this and wait. I also want to follow my other projects that I left on pause for this that we finish

By the way, for some reason you redid HTZ2, but you are still touching the red spring 3 frames later than me (I posted my gmv in the submission thread). My suggestion was to take my gmv and do the rest of the act, but for some reason you redid the beginning. Ok, no problem, just letting you know.

Kiske, just for your information, if you avoid avoiding rings in WFZ, you can do it about 20 frames faster. I’ve tried it, but failed because of a worse Y subpixel position. I may try doing it again next few days, but, as usually, I cannot promise, sorry. This is a very very dirty attempt, which is still faster than what you did. Let me explain the idea how to make it even better: 1. After the first jump, you should be moving right, not left. Moving left was only required to avoid the rings. 2. After glide-landing back onto the terrain, you should touch the proper point, allowing you to boost to over 6000 sp/f 3. With (1) and (2) done successfully, you should be able to perform the big jump by pressing the jump button for only 1 frame. The biggest problem will be how you land — depending on your vertical alignment, you’ll be able to perform proper glide-landing, or not. This may require very tricky Y subpixel management, but I beleive it’s possible. Even if it’s not, taking 2 or 3 frame jump will still be a lot faster than what you did. The rest of the stage is fine. I think this can be done by someone who is very good at positioning, you can ask Tee-N-Tee or Aglar.

I'll be months to learn about this kind of improvements over the pixels or subpixels. When I have time I'll try to understand this a little. For now I want a little vacation and then I will finish some projects that had paused ..

Hi, I'm not sure if S2K is a hack or a lock-on official game, but we made a ring attack run in EHZ 1/2. The runs are very improvable, i'm working on Chemical Plant have some interesting routes to take and save time, the objetive is collect all single rings for perfect bonus and ring monitors for the max amount of these per level. Ok, but could you please check your private messages? (upd) I am working on an improvement of your testrun and I found a funny way to enter the terrain in the very beginning of AIZ1, sadly, it seems to be impossible to zip or level-wrap from here. (upd) ahead of you by ~120 frames, but feeling like it’s too hard to finish it today. I’ll continue later.

I am making a ring attack attemp on this game, so i have a question for some zones. ¿Is there a way to get the 20 unreachable rings in Casino Night 2? ¿I can get the 6 unreachable rings in Oil Ocean 2? In Hill Top 2 ¿I can go back after enter in the lava chamber? ¿And i can get the unreachable rings in Metropolis 2? I am playing as Knuckles, have more glitches, climb walls and can glide. Is not a problem if no have a way to get these rings, the objetive is collect the max amount possible per level as knuckles, glitches or not.

Sadly, I do not know the answers for any of those questions. I focus on making speedruns, not superplays. It would be better to ask Felipe/Hat, but he’s banned. Posting this just for you to not think that I ignored your questions. In Oil Ocean 2, as far as I remember, it is somehow possible to activate so-called gravity glitch (also called slope glitch), it may help to get those rings, but I am not sure. You may also want to watch Tee-N-Tee’s research for Sonic and Tails http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12070&start=275 (upd) I was wrong, that’s not about gravity glitch, it’s something different, see it youself. However, he’s using help from Tails and I am not sure if that’s doable without Tails. In my personal opinion, Knuckles is not the best choice for this kind of run, mainly because in Sonic 2, when playing as Knuckles, it is not always possible to brake quickly, sometimes you have to waste those 15 frames (though it is possible to avoid it in many places where you allow it).

Today finished Aquatin Ruins, maybe need more improvements, but as test-run is fine. ARZ 1 Link to video ARZ 2 - 336 - 337 rings because 1 ring is stuck underwater. Link to video About Mystic Cave 2, i found this way to get all unreachable rings as knux, in consecuence you can reach the perfect bonus. Link to video You must wait to the badnik enter in the Red terrain and perfom the glide jump to reach the rings in the top, maybe this trick spend 45~60secs in a normal run but if you perform this correctly can collect alls rings in this zone and reach the "Perfect Bonus". Pros: * You can collect all rings. * You can earn the "Perfect Bonus" in Mystic Cave 2. * More Score. * You win 1 life. (?) Cons: * You spend 45-60 seconds in a normal run. * Only as Knuckles ( but you can collect this rings as Hyper Sonic +Lightning Shield, Sonic and Tails, Tails alone in Sonic Classic Heroes).

When you break ring monitors that are placed next to walls, instead of breaking them as supposed (by jumping on them), try glide-glitching though them. Yes, you will stuck for 15 frames, but I beleive it is less than you would waste if you land on that monitor and bounce off it. In some places this can also allow you to enter the terrain or at least take a huge boost.

To answer some of the questions about collecting rings in some levels: All of the rings in Hill Top 2 have been collected in real time. All of the rings in Metropolis 2 can be collected by activating the slope glitch, like Sonic, with the added ability to glide into floors and zipping from those floors. And the film of OOZ2 is totally crazy, I need to learn how to handle that speed, on metrolopolis 2 I know how to reach the rings on the walls, maybe it will take me more work to do these zones but I will do my best to do it well.
