Connect both the SNES and a video recorder to your TV. Record it to standard VHS tapes. You can record it directly to your computer too, but that's slightly more work. You need a tv-computer cable and a video card which can handle tv input. Twingalaxies likely has more information.

You are aware that these posts were made over 5 years ago, right? Anyway, if you're looking for Yoshi's Island speedruns: http://speeddemosarchive.com/YoshisIsland.html At TASvideos, there is an any% TAS: http://tasvideos.org/362M.html And a glitched TAS: http://tasvideos.org/1314M.html And a 100% TAS is being worked on, WIP (work in progress) can be found here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3371&start=200

Thanks for the reply Baxter. Yeah sorry for bumping thread, it's just that I got so excited reading it and was hoping some of the old posters who posted those links would come in and provide some new movies, or some wokring links to the ones that are dead. You came and provided some great links however, so many many thanks for those. I will certainly check out those vids ASAP! God I wish I was around when this thread was active. I would have been pumping my fists all up in this party :) Hopefully we can gather more replays from the community here at TASVideos. C'mon guys don't be shy! Post those YI vids lets see whatcha got! I'm DYING to see some NON-assisted skill runs in a 100% playthrough from start to finish, played at a casual pace.

I thought I might post this here, I did an any% real time playthrough today, and I got a reasonable time. This is the fourth time I have completed SMW2. The first time, was casual, over the course of a few months, the second time I did 6:36, the third: 3:50, and now I just got 3:23. I think this is a reasonably good time. Has anyone here gotten better times? http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1255803692/YIsemifastrun.smv
