Permission granted. Similar requests can be give to me in PM form, but only with the intent of making and editing numerous documents. If you have info for one game, it's better to post it here or let me know so that myself or someone else can add it in real quick. Today hopefully I'll work on better screenshots and more info for existing documents, and maybe make some new documents.

I wish there was a way to easily revert stuff and then I could make it so anyone could edit it but I didn't find anything. Can anyone get this game to work? http://tas.schtuff.com/yakouchuu_ii_satsujin_kouru

Confirm, does not work with any plugins. Gln64 came close, but it couldn't get past the menu.

Might I suggest a way of distinguishing games that are already TASed, ones that are TASable, ones with desyncing and ones that are unplayable? Maybe different pages, or colour coding on the main list? Or are we just hoping someone will search for their favourite game and get stuck in?

excellent idea. Of course, it's more devious to have people search through the entire list and do as much looking as we do, but I'm feeling a bout of niceness coming on. will try to get that happening.

I hope you don't mind, but I've already done it using tags. Added tags to (nearly) every N64 game with a seperate page giving their ability to be TASed or not. I also added a short explaination to the index page and a page with a more detailed description of each. Quite a few of them are 'tas.maybe' at the moment, most of which are the result of no "TASable?" info on the page.

I probably won't be updating it much because I want to get further in PD. Of course it would help if I didn't have to do most things 2-10 times just so it doesn't desync. :(

Nuclear Strike 64 test run complete. will add to the page, although not sure what genre it is. shooter maybe? edit: this game desynchs easily. pity, it'd be a good candidate.

if there is a video plugin that looks good in banjo-tooie, and allows you to activate the fire-egg switch in the Plateau, then BT might be runnable. Last I checked though, that wasn't happening.

L4yer said Jabo's made it run. (I assume 1.6.) I haven't played the game ever, nor tested how far you can go. do you mind taking a stab and verifying that? edit: added Tetrisphere, StarCraft 64, and Command & Conquer. Not sure about recommended plugins for each, as I haven't tested them yet. I'm assuming Jabo's for Testrisphere (Acmlm forgot to mention his plugin in his submission text) and gln64 is what OgreSlayeR and I used for C&C and SC64 respectively.

I thought the whole point of the list was to test TASablility, Recommended plugins, etc...

Yes. I have not tested the plugins yet. I put the pages up because I knew all the other info about them *sans the plugins*. I will make that priority and should have it fixed by today. L4yer: I'm not sure. like I said earlier, never played either Banjo game ever. a walktrhough/FAQ should have the info though.

progress naturally to level 1 (should take about 5-10 minutes plus cutscenes) learn the ledge grab move (needs mumbo activation and exploration, should take another 5-10 minutes) go to the second area and if you have enough notes (less than 100 I believe. easy to find in level 1). then you can learn how to shoot fire eggs. there's a door on the west side of the area (assuming the endless pit is south) with a fire button. shoot it with a fire egg. every time I've done this on mupen NOTHING has happened. the door should open and you can't progress if it doesn't

As I don't remember anything about the game I got lost but I came across an area that would just refuse to load after entering it many times. I did shoot some other targets though, a savestate in the spot would help.

Not much activity in the past few days. just checking up on my fledgling testers. Any confirm on Banjo Tooie? Any other games tested or have pages that need fixing?

I tried Banjo Tooie and I didn't even get that far. There was a fair bit of lag creating the puzzle to get to the first world, and in the first world itself there was a massive amount of lag. When you rolled, it would take about 30 seconds before your roll was done, and sometimes it would randomly freeze and you would have to make a savestate, and then load it to unfreeze it.

There wasn't any lag but the fire egg switch just didn't work so it can't be completed.

Damn, thats a real shame, because otherwise the game looks relatively in working order. I'm disappointed about that.

Here's a test run of Quake 2, I didn't want to create another thread because I wasn't sure if I was going to commit to it. Personally I'm concerned that it looks too much like the Duke Nukem run and not interesting enough. It also looks like bunnyhopping doesn't work in this game, because you can't jump as soon as you land. What are your thoughts?

I am not joking: just tonight I made a test run for Quake 2. yours is probably better. However, my run desynched, and this was with only 1 rerecord. that, plus major transparency issues makes me believe this might not be as good as it potentially could've been.

You were working on a test too? o_O that's freaky. They changed a lot of the levels in the N64 port, so I can't really look to the PC run for tips. I was using Jabo 1.6 video and NRage 1.83 for input, and it didn't desynch. If the later levels are as boring, I'll have to cancel it.

Excite Bike 64, Top Gear Hyper Bike and 1080 snowboarding do not live up to the hype I read about just from me never playing them before and not looking deeply into it. however, all 3 are very runnable with no glitches/problems (Top gear games are Exp Pak though) so these are potentially runnable if you're into racing/stunt games of this type. My bet is that Wave Racer 64 would have the most TAS potential of the non-car racing games.
