Okay, it's been nearly a year of battling with my own motivation, but... Chapter 3 is finally done! A few rooms took several months to finish because, again, issues with motivation. Also, the RNG refused to cooperate on enemy patterns. Hearts were picked up to reduce the heal-up time at the end of the chapter. I am currently about 36 seconds ahead of my previous attempt, and 1:20 ahead of Sami at this point.

Chapter 5 is finished and ready for peer review. Stands at almost 3 minutes faster that the published run.

You should be able to avoid getting stunned by the skeleton miner's hammer. Pretty sure it's happened to me before.

Do you have any more details about that? From what I'm seeing, Mike is always stunned, even in midair, and is unstunned the moment the screen stops shaking. Also, it appears that striking the ground is always his opening move, and clearly I can't kill him fast enough to prevent that from happening.

SO If the player A) is airborn at the time of the stun, and B) attacks on the last frame before getting stunned, the player will not be stunned. Almost a second saved due to this. Thank you. Any more remarks?

Just in time for the new year! Chapter 7 is done. Currently about 3:30 ahead of Sami.

Hey guys! I found a new way to activate the ''credits glitch'' (almost 100% optimized, because this ''world'' is much ''crashing''): http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/41679797817843426 Encode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBrbpUSZdNA (I don't know why that glitch works and why this ''glitch world'' ocurrs, techinically). EDIT: I managed a 'better' glitch world: Link to video EDIT 2: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/41747970220177775 And while I tried to find this, I also found an earlier way to ''early monkey pit 1 exit'': http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/41679849499696870

Hello everyone, yes I am still working on this! I have one last update that completes chapter 8. Next update will be a final submission. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/46019778580940495 IMPORTANT SYNCHING NOTE!!! The latest version of Bizhawk that this will work on is 1.11.6, as the builds after that made some changes to Neshawk to improve accuracy. Again, the struggle has primarily been energy and motivation. But mostly a stupidly uncooperative RNG this time around. That saps my energy and motivation. For those wondering, I am not going to be performing the final boss skip discovered by scaryice. From looking at it, it appears to be using the same sets of glitches that enables one to skip to the end credits during the mokey pits, so skipping the final bosses comes off as arbitrary. I will be fighting all bosses, and will submit it as "No OoB glitches." Thank you all for your patience!

This project isn't dead, and great work again! By checking this topic, I found a post that randomness (in particular enemy movement and behaviour) is affected by input. So when you finish this game, do you intend to resync to the lastest version of BizHawk? If not, I can try, like I did with "game end glitch" TAS.

I have zero intention of even trying to synchronize to the latest version, given how often the RNG crops up. Some bits even required some intricate, frame-by-frame manipulation, and dealing with that again is just unfeasible. If you want to try, knock yourself out.
