hm... that facility doesn't seem to work. mupen just shuts down when i try to play it. it doesn't happen with any other movie file.

I think it's becouse it was recorded with the antids version of Mupen. Doesn't work for me either with the normal version. antids and vanilla save (and load) states in a slightly different and incompatible way. either one will just kill the emulator process if it is loading a state made by the other.

I don't think Jack's gonna do Egypt, he'll probably end the run after Cradle. And i know the files work for some poeple. So hopefully someone will be able to make an avi for me.

Hey Rising Tempest, I loved the 00 agent run and look forward to what can be done with the two controller style. Until then, I made a few notes while I watched your current TAS a third time. Please let me know if my comments have merit or not: Silo; could some seconds be saved by keeping your weapon as plastique and manipulating enemies (rather than shooting them) in between rooms so that you only have to access plastique through the pause menu once for two rooms? Jungle; could you cut on the inside of the tree by the wall near the beginning of the run (on your left as you approach that wall) using a "door" warp? It looks like this may give a better line. Control; could you switch to D5k in the elevator at the beginning to avoid the (small) delay from switching weapons when the pp7 runs out? Control/Caverns, can you crouch under slow rising doors to make it through them earlier? Unrelated to the current TAS: Do you think a New Game+ using the Turbo Mode cheat would be fun?

To answer the questions: Silo - I believe the only place where that would be possible is after 2nd plastique until 3rd one. I guess it's possible if you get the keycard but the problem is that the door leading out from the room where you place 3rd plastique will most likely be closed. I dunno if they can open it fast enough if you alert them after placing plastique. Also, you won't be able to warp doors or guards slowing you down significantly. So i believe it's slower overall. Jungle - Dunno which tree you mean but any warp based route is most likely possible and maybe faster cause the routes were adjusted for console playing where it's hard to make a perfect warp. One example is Statue where TAS route is faster cause of the warp. Control - You don't start with D5K, you get it from the guards. Caverns/Control - No I guess i could announce here too that i have an agent run in the making. It's going slowly for the moment though cause Train is impossible to TAS, i made a savestate in the beginning of the level, started tasing from there, did half the level, then when i replayed from savestate it worked fine but then from beginning it totally desynchs. So really i dunno how i'm supposed to do this level, can't watch the entire run every desynch check...

Try making a separate savestate about a minute before the train level starts, and watch it from there. True it takes a minute more, but it's better than starting from the beginning of the run, and it's likely to be more successful than a savestate 3 seconds before you start new input.

The questions- basically what Henrik said. Also, Henrik, for Train, I had to check from the very beginning every time when I did it (same for Jungle, but that was just susperstition rather than need). A pain,but a necessary one unfortunately.

Okay well appareantly i didn't have to check from beginning, beginning of Depot was enough. So Train done, Hopefully i'll finish Jungle today. I wanna make Control really insane and entertaining. Like shoot a message into the main room screen or something. Any suggestions of stuff you wanna see would be appreciated.

maybe manipulate more than one gun to drop next to each other, and juggle those in the air. possibly let the room get entirely filled with guards, then mow them all down at once? dance in patterns? do some naughty things towards/involving natalya shoot in time with the music?
