I fell in love with this fighting game from Treasure, so I made a playaround with my favourite character. It plays trought the standard tournament and a 1 vs. 3 match (which is unlocked by winning the tournament). This game has some interesting features, 4 players simultaneously, air combos, and a system where trading hits means no-one gets hurt (think punching each others knuckles in DBZ). It only took a few hours to make, and it's sort of sloppy in places. The menues aren't optimized at all, and I accidentally enter the options before a match which I never bothered to fix. I hope that the combos and the air-throw bug I found makes up for it. :) The movie is located here: http://133an.sytes.net/~truncated/yyh.zip ROM filename is Yu Yu Hakusho - Makyoutohissen (J). Hopefully someone finds it interesting. I don't think I'm submitting it, unless someone convinces me otherwise. If you wonder why I punish Ichiki (guy with white robe and green hair who teleports) so hard, it's just because I hate him. :)

For some reason, I first thought that this would be a run of Yuu Yuu Hakusho Gaiden... :P The combos are good, but I don't see any Desperation Attack combos... those definitely would have been awesome to see. The air throw bug is interesting, but it reminds me too much of an infinite. And infinites = boring. Just seeing it executed once would have been alright, though, if just for variety. The mirror match was definitely my favorite. And lastly, the name of the guy that you hate so much is spelled "Itsuki". ;p

I liked it because it was yuyu hakusho hehe, but i would have enjoyed it more if the fights were done a little faster without too much waiting. The air throw didn't bother me, it was cool.

I thought about including one of those, but it requires you to lose at least half your health, which didn't seem appropriate for my invincible warrior. You get to see all the desperation attacks in the ending demo though. Right, Itsuki. You would think I should know that after all the times I've heard the game say "Shousha: Itsuki!" It must be because the announcer has a lisp or something. ;) I tried to be aggressive, but the CPU is very good at blocking, so sometimes you just have to wait. And in the 1 vs. 3 match, they are strangely passive at times, unwilling to attack. Perhaps to give you a chance. I'm glad someone liked it :)

I'm probably not making another one for submitting. Mostly because I don't think I could make it interesting enough to be submission-worthy. So this was just for fun. I'm already working on another game to be submitted soon... hopefully.

Wow, nice combos. I didn't know about those at all. Especially how you interrupt some moves. Isn't more than 5 hits possible with Otouto? Perhaps you were going for maximum damage.. interrupted by 2P use X/Z or B attack 1P's super kill,if you carefully observe the movies can be found. otooto vs hiei can reach max hit,but it's use hiei's special circumstances,you can imagine.. in normal circumstances vs otooto in version margin can only reach 14 hit,method is simple,reverse air A next Forward down B * 7(it means X/Z + down B or Former Former + down B)next Fillip(down down A/B 6 hits) total 14 hit. otooto after Former A's maximum hit combo is air B + 2 jump + air B 8 hit,No.2 is Fillip,total 7 hit.

133an seems to be working fine. No further reported errors. Only a couple of days ago when a friend of mine totaly wasted all it's space which had the box do unwanted things for a while.

It was nice, perhaps overused the "hit enemies behind you" bug a little too much. Cool to see that someone else also discovered the repeated air throw with Genkai.
