Would a time attack of this game be interesting? I found it on Arcs page I think, in the idea list there. Trying it right now and it seems pretty cool. And hard. If there is any interest in this I could give it a try. edit. The character is some sort of knight running forwards and killing monsters. I don´t know much about the game yet but it looks cool. Atleast the first boss was cool ;)

I used to love this game, if you do a run I'd certainly watch it, and maybe take a shot at it myself. any obvious cheats/glitches etc? I haven't investigated this one at all, but I remember it being a cool game.

slow emulator speed + re-recording = fast time.

Hmm, this game is.. differente. First of all it looks like the Axe armor from Castlevania SotN has escaped and decided to be in an own game (or the other way around since this is older then Sotn). It´s quite hard actually since Astyanax, his axe and all the enemies are like 20 pixels bigger then they look like. I can hit the air and kill them, or be close to them and get hit for no reason. The coolest thing I've discovered is the bosses. They are cool and unusual in NES games. Atleast out of my experience. So. would it still be interesting?

This game was.. not that funny, and longer than I ever expected. I ended it with a time of 21:16. The coolest in this game is the bosses, which really looks evil ;) But I dunno.. I don´t know how big this game is, I had never heard of it before but since it was on Arcs potential idea list I guess it´s bigger in other countries then here in Sweden. It´s probably possible to beat it in around 20:00-20:30 if you use magic better. However I doubt I will ever play this game again.

There was a thread a while back where we posted ideas. That's probably where Arc got the idea from. I was the one who suggested Astyanax. Is that spelling correct? I have the actual game, but I don't remember it too well, and haven't played it in a long time. I just thought it would be a good idea, because the game is seemingly non-linear (because of balacing resources and switching weapons) and action-packed, because of lots of baddies. Killing the guys takes time, but getting an item from them may save time later. I haven't planned for this game at all. It'd be cool to watch, I think.

Yeah, cool to watch maybe but it´s awfully boring to play ;) And my .fmv broke for some reason at leve 4. So im not doing this again, atleast not for awhile.

Actually I saw it in Nintendo Power - the one with SMB3 on the cover - Volume 11 I think. It looked like a cool game that would take 15-20 minutes. I played a little of level 1 and it was pretty fun and somewhat challenging. I would like to see it completed.

This is a stupid game really. Worst randomness I've seen. And that´s because my fmv got desynced like 30 times. However im done with it now. It ended with a time of 20:12 and that´s the best I'll do at this game.
