ALttP = A Link to the Past. So no.
Read the page. It's like an ALttP sequel-ish-remix-ish-thing.

I know the game the page links to, I've played it. Imo discussing them in the same thread is like discussing OoT and MM in the same thread.

I haven't worked on this for awhile. Though Yuzuhara just showed up in IRC showing this: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/530592896/bluepotionglitch.smv (9X 1.51, JP ROM) I'm stunned and laughing in confusion :D.
Don't suppose you could give a quick summary?

I was absolutely amazed the whole time. How did you people even find all these glitches?
I always wondered my self how all these insane glitches get found :P Just takes a really creative mind and someone who knows a bit on what they are doing.

I want to reopen the can of worms that is the 100% definition, mainly for purposes of actually seeing a 100% of LttP at some point in the future. Now the main list should look something like this: All weapon and armor upgrades: Golden Sword Red Mail Mirror Shield All upgrade items: Moon Pearl Pegasus Boots Titan's Mitt Zora Flippers 1/2 Magic upgrade All Heart Containers and Heart Pieces (20 total at the end) All items in the main inventory screen: Silver Arrows Magic Boomerang Hookshot Bombs Magic Powder Fire Rod Ice Rod Bombos Medallion Quake Medallion Ether Medallion Lamp Flute Bug-Catching Net Book of Mudora Magic Bottle x 4 Cane of Somaria Cane of Byrna Magic Cape Magic Mirror *Could include the temporary items like the Mushroom and the Shovel in this list, but they are exchanged for permanent items. All Bomb and Arrow upgrades. As far as I can tell, the last one of those is the only contentious issue on the list of 100%, as it takes a long time to upgrade the bombs and arrows and thus takes a chunk of entertainment factor away from the run. Personally, I wouldn't mind either way, as it is up to the TASer themselves, but I can see points on both sides whether it should be included or not. Perhaps for completionist sake, I would err on the side of including the upgrades, but it wouldn't take anything away from 100% if it was not done, imo. EDIT: Forgot to mention heart containers/pieces

I would vote No on the upgrades, personally. It's not a hard process (especially with the types of movements a TAS is capable of), but it would be painfully long and boring. Entertainment should be the main goal---it seems a bit too purist to include the upgrades when getting them just means an insanely long grind no one is going to watch. Other than that, it would probably be an interesting TAS to watch. I liked the Zelda 1 "all items" TAS a lot just because of how different it was.

I agree with Dyshonest. Entertainment is priority one, so the many minutes of rupee collecting necessary to pay for all the upgrades is too insane. Add to that fact that you have to wait between throws and can only pay the Great Fairy 50 rupees at a time (25 at first) and I think we will all come to the conclusion that it is not entertaining enough to be worth doing. Also Toothache, even though it is obvious, but the pieces of heart would also count towards 100%. You forgot to mention them in the list.

SDA defined 100% as:
100% is based on getting all items on the subscreen, all heart pieces, and max level of equipment except the bomb and arrow upgrades. The level 2 shield and blue mail can be skipped since they are replaced by the mirror shield & red mail.
When TAS does Quake 1, SDA will declare war. The Prince doth arrive he doth please.

I have made a definition of the border between glitched and glitchless runs. What makes a run glitchless is staying in bounds and defeating Ganon.

Two years ago, I decided to TAS the Palace of the Four Sword the "proper way", compared to the published TAS: http://tasvideos.org/2139M.html Though I didn't pick it back up and finish it until today, so here it is. Link to video

Makes me wonder if it would be alright for a 100% TAS of the GBA version basically go all out with the glitches and kill both Ganon and Palace of Fourswords. Although I'm not sure how the glitched state (including post save and reset) would benefit the run given how it messes up stats.

Anyone have the link to the all dungeons route. I feel like that would be a good first TAS to try. I've already got a tas up to the secrete passage that leads to sanctuary, and can only go up through sanctuary.

I never had a finished route for the whole run. Because of the many new glitches found, I didn't even decide on what rules that would make the most sense to use for the TAS. The rules will be a modification of the current published TAS at least. Though still banning the Exploration Glitch. But there are many glitches that act in similar ways, practically identical, that I never could decide what to do with... And pretty much because of that, new finished route was made. We, Yuzuhara and I, came up with several suggestions for the beginning. One route that beats Eastern Palace before getting the sword, the last WIP can be seen on the previous page, and one that starts with going through the sewers and then head to Hera's Tower + a few variations afterwards for both of them. I could fill you in with more info and WIPs if you want.

If you wouldn't mind that would be great. Also about your WIP on the other page, is it possible for me to convert it into something that Bizhawk can use? Nvm I figured that part out. Just out of curiosity, has anyone documented the emulation differences between snex9x 1.51 vs 1.53 vs bizhawk. The WIP i grabbed from the previous page seemed to only work in snes91 1.51. Using TAStudio in bizhawk I believe (but am not certain) it has to do with how the emulators handle lag frames.

I haven't done any actual comparisions, no, especially not for 1.53. I'm going to wrote my details soon, I just need to finish up some stuff in live and get back some motivation for things.

Well, there are a lot of movement mistakes, at least up to the basement, which is as far as I've watched.

There's a lot of mistakes in general, but it really shows that a lot of new time saving glitches have been discovered since 2009.

Yes, my old is insanely outdated for loads of reasons... I lost interest and motivation in the game. One reason being that it was hard for me to decide what rules to go by, which glitches to allow and not. In my post above, I did mention that I would write up some details for it... But meh... I really have no motivation for that either... New run for the game would be sub 1 hour possibly.

I made a run. That was the first time I tased this game. I thought I was not able to make an optimal run, so I made it on snes9x v1.43 not for submitting. This run is quite suboptimal and with bad luckmanipulation, especially earlier part. Swapping items at the end of boss battles looks bad. As for pixelporting, I missed with Grampa. I also missed between the narrow passage at the first visit of the mire. Optimal pixelporting, whose period of the imputs is two frames, is faster. So, at the current moment, I do not recommend hosting this run on a popular video streaming site. Hope to refer this for future reference. Btw, while I was making this run, I found ganon bat cloning. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1295951624/ganonBat-cloning.smv Edit: Well, there are many mistakes in my run. Just now I noticed that in the Turtle Rock's crystal switches room, I should've used ice rod instead of using a bomb. I lost more than 40 frames. And about rupee route, getting Sahasrahla's 100r is faster than tree's rupee. Eastern Palace's 100r with EG takes as much time as tree's rupee.

There are several ways to access a deep part of Turtle Rock. When you do mirror clip, if you hold Down key in the light world, it's a little faster. But as far as my run, save warp was the fastest. Even classical route with floating trick was faster than mirror clip way.
