yes, you can watch bkDJ's vids. But, you generally don't have to ask what plugins are used, because when you load the ROM, and select play movie, a window pops up that says exactly what plugins are used in the movie. 1.5.1 might lag because it's not the plugin that Sami uses. If not, it could be your video card/something about your computer. Try jabo's 1.6, see if that works better.

I am merely waiting for the movie to get published at this point. I don't want to watch the whole thing over and over and end up getting bored with it now. xD Good thing I've learned to be so patient. :3

WOW! Your best note score for this world is now 2!
Now THAT was worth a comment, Mr. Mole! (What is his name again? Bottles?!) Keep up the good work Sami - this run will be part of my TOP 5 once it is finished.

I have high anticipation for this completed run. This game is one of my favorites. I'm amazed at the recent lack of posts in this topic.

What would be the fastest 6 jiggies not to collect in an any% run? Six jiggys are skipped right? If not, how many?

Sami, since you now have the beak bomb, did you test that speed preserving glitch that Jsmith was constantly talking about?

An any% would skip 6 jiggies, 90 notes, and all 24 empty honeycombs. You can also skip a few moves (e.g. you can beat the game, including Grunty, without the Beak Bomb), but I don't think it's worth it to do so. I would recommend skipping the jiggies associated with one of Mumbo's transformations, as you also get to skip the token collecting and transformation scenes. If I recall correctly, the Bee costs a whopping 25 tokens, and it's only necessary for 2 jiggies -- the jinjo one and the witch-switch one. You can fly up to the one at the very top of the tree in Winter, right? Or, try to skip timed minigames. The crocodile one takes a while....

If I ever build up the courage to finish luck manipulating the Mumbo's Mountain entrance, yeah, skipped jiggy candidates are the bee's 2, and Mr. Vile. I doubt move skipping would be useful. And notes that will be skipped will probably be stuff like the masion corners in MMM, the ones near nothing useful in CCW, particularly winter, probably a bunch in RBB...

If you're up to it, you might want to go back and shave some frames in Spiral Mountain. I know 3 frames can be saved in the very beginning just before you talk to Bottles by jumping instead of running.

Hi, I'm new here (first post). I can't wait to see this TAS finished, I've been a fan of banjo kazooie since it came out, so the greatest of thanks for making a TAS of it. Exuse any bad grammar you may find, English isn't my first language so my writing might sometimes be a little sloppy. As for the topic itself, I would like to know wich glitches/tricks are going to be used for this TAS to be possible.

Yes its still going well. Stage is complicated so route planning take some time. and I have almost complete whole level but I found new timesavers so I have to restart. But hardest part is over again (Memorygame pyramid) and rest of the stage is easier.

Hey.. I wanted to post something at the TASVideos topic, but I don't have an account there, and I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet. Could someone who has an account at that site post this for me? I discovered a funky glitch to save a few seconds when getting Napper's Jiggy in Mad Monster Mansion. If you just barely touch the Fly Pad and hit A as you get the Jiggy, you'll take off and get it without doing the dance, as if you grabbed it from the air. You'll also grab the 1-up in the chandelier for some reason. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVJfuMsG0wI It's almost like the infinite speed glitch / flickerballing in Metroid Prime, where you trigger any cutscenes and obtain all items in the room just by activating it. But you don't get the notes and eggs in the room, so it must have just given Banjo a hitbox that extends infinitely upwards or something. It's possible that this could be used in other areas too, but I can't think of any off the top of my head. Also, even though I'm sure all of these tricks have been discovered before, looking at my Video Quiz topic: http://www.rarewitchproject.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10757 Or youtube playlist: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=97E6E1A1A398AF34 might not be a bad idea.

Also check out their method of grabbing one of the Gobi's Valley honeycombs via damage boost.

I am glad to see that you're still working on this Sami. :3 Sorry I haven't had any input as of late. I just haven't felt like saying a whole lot lately. ;3 Seems you've made a lot of progress while I wasn't around though. ^_^
