Being a big fan of this game. It'd be insane to see it TAS'd. I'll be all over the next W.I.P GL Sami

Sami, are you sure that climbing up poles is fastest? I was playing around with JSmith's idea to use jump and Z pound to climb faster, and came up with this: climbing test You can see a few times, with the right timing and placement I zipped up the tree, and even without the zipping jumping and using the pound to grab on and jump again should be faster.

I tested that in CC's long pipe and its slower than normal climbing. Yes it looks faster but waiting ground pound its slower. Maybe it can be used in some small places like trees where you can go up in one move.

i might've found a shortcut in the beach level [ i didnt play in a long time. ] if you do a beak buster[?] under the warp thing by the blue jinjo, you'll get launched ontop of the warp tile instead of having to go around. of course that depends on the route sorry if it's old =P

Holy crap @ the following things: 1. how you got the first honeycomb piece. 2. standing underwater. 3. getting on top of the maze. I never even knew this was possible. Great job, as always.

AMAZING. On top of what was already mentioned, I liked the collection of the notes in the sand using the speed shoes, and how many puzzle pieces were left to be collected during flight. Bravo! Edit: Re: Fredrik's error: savestates don't like syncing, I had to fastforward. Also, a savestate made with antiDS mupen will cause an error in mupen rerecording v2, and vice versa.

and if you wonder why I don't break that Gobi's stone soon as bossible here is reason: I have to wait Gobi put his head down and then make Z+B move. When Gobi's head is down, Banjo jumps directly there where Jiggy appears.

Kickass Sami! You are doing great and it looks awesome! Was a really nice way you got that honey comb, indeed. And the maze was a huge "lol". Good luck with the next awesomeness.

Who cares about savestates, it's been so long since there's been an update you should watch it all! Unfortunately I was a bit too tired when watching it and will have to watch it again. Luckily I still have all my savestates from the last update. Good Luck with the next stage. *Puts watching it again on his things to do in the morning*

Excuse me for asking this, Sami, but could you please post some of the WIP on Youtube or something? It is too difficult for me to watch it on a N64 emulator. I know this is a selfish, moronic and possibly rule breaking request. If it is, I apologize.

WIP on Youtube
Youtube is terrible. Not to mention, the level is slightly longer than the video length limit. I'll have some mkv's ready tomorrow, though. And since my hosting has changed between the last WIP update, I updated old links from the past 20 pages. OCTOBER 2014 EDIT: hosting changed again, but I bought a domain finally so I don't have to update dead links anymore... Assuming anyone reads these threads this far back? If so, hello future people!

Nice job Sami! I really liked the maze, and standing underwater was reminiscent of OOT's cuckoo dive. I think the route is superb too. Going through all the permutations of notes, jiggies, and honeycomb pieces, and factoring that in with Mumbo tokens must be pretty annoying, but this route looks solid!

Not to mention, the level is slightly longer than the video length limit. My account has the time limit (and file size limit) removed on YouTube, so if need be, I could upload the WIPs.

Hey guys, this is Kowbrainz or Kowz from spiralmountain.co.uk... I believe I already know Tompa and perhaps some others from some other sites around the web, but anyway... After asking Sami nicely I (we) managed to upload some of the run up to youtube to spread the word of this awesome feat. We've already received several nice comments as well as as one person asking if they can make a video tribute to the awesome tricks you guys have found and Sami's sweet routes. Unfortunately our sound recording wasn't working during the video capture, but I don't think it detracted too much from the awesomeness of the run thus far. Mupen isn't working for me on this computer right now, so I'll have to wait for a friend of mine to send me a video file of the most recent advancements in the run. I'm sure I won't be let down. :P Cheers again; hopefully the publicity attracts a little bit more moral support at the very least. If anyone isn't able to view the run in its mupen form or anything like that, then links are below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHDdp5__kuc - Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eyz-tecsNA - Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=151CSe2U5K0 - Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZiXfweOSfY - Part 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loXiptwWeqo - Part 5 Thanks again, Kowz.

Latest Progress, 13m14s: 640x480, 82MB 320x240, 40MB And Sami: How does the wonderwing help get the christmas tree jiggy? I thought a beak buster could get it, but I might be wrong.
