Post subject: Can someone please tell me which programs I need to view vid

I admit I ain't the most techinal guy there is but I would like to know what programs I need to view and what I have to do. I tried to click a vid and I know I need some sort of bit torrent but i would like a good one and a very friendly user one. Thanks

But even the most computer-illiterate people should still understand to look up the FAQ, for it stands for "frequently-asked questions". On my site, it's labelled as "Answers (FAQ)". heh... that is a personal opinion, but if you want the easiest to use I'd go with BitComet or Azureus, which are both for windows.

I D/L one called Burst and it I hate it. I had a bit comet which is a symbol of a orange circle with a white line. That was a good one but I can't remember the name of it

We could flood you with random names of software, but that isn't very productive. Most Bittorrent clients are good enough to work, and BitTornado isn't bad at all.

ctorrent (C), Azureus (Java) and ktorrent (C++). ctorrent is weird to use, Azureus is Java and ktorrent seems to be banned by some generic anti-cheat protection in certain types of trackers. ktorrent is surprisingly light on resources for a KDE program though. I've also heard of rtorrent but I have no idea how well it works. From what I see on the rtorrent website it's pretty good. You could also try btdownloadcurses instead of btdownloadgui, it's much lighter on resources and doesn't seem to have memory leaks. I don't think you can change any settings while it's running though.

lol, I run the official BT client on my P166 box with 48MB of RAM, and it runs fine for me. I do use the curses client, and you are correct, you can't change any settings (at least that I know of) without canceling the torrent and changing the command line.
