Hi!
I'm back with a splatterhouse timeattack ("Wanpaku Graffiti"). I have improved the movie at many possible ways according to my opinion. Plays the japanese version but its translated to english (I thought that was much funnier since you now can understand the epilogue of the movie for example). I thought my previous run on this game was really good-until now!

I Hope you find this movie entertaining!

Do you all know how it feels when you got plenty of movies rejected? When I wrote that,("I'm going to do what ever it takes to get to the moviepage.") I meant that I will never give up, and that's not a bad thing is it? Of course I didn't make the movie only to please myself, but also to entertain the viewers.

Well, it seemed like you just wanted to get your movie published. But if that wasn't your ultimate goal then it's fine.

>check out da page: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2078 Didn't see anyone who complained there? Well, uh, that was before he submitted it. So they couldn't really have much of an opinion, could they? I suggest that you check the comments and votes after he submitted it instead: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2079&postdays=0&postorder=asc&vote=viewresult Admittedly the low votes is at least partially because it wasn't very well played. >"Play for entertainment, not for ego." - I thought I did that. Well, you know that this was in reply to when you wrote "I'm going to do what ever it takes to get to the moviepage." Saying that makes it sound like it's more important for you to get published and get your name on a list than making an interesting movie. Perhaps this isn't at all what you meant. I know you don't have much respect for my opinion, so I'm mostly stating it for the record.

Diman, First I'd like to say that I really admire your determination here. You said somewhere about the games on "List of Ideas" being too hard for you. However, I think if you put your own determination to it, you would find that it is not so hard, it just requires patience, which you definitely have. If you are really determined to get a run published, then find a game you like a lot or know well that hasn't been done, or that has been done but badly, and just give it a shot; stick it out until the end. You can start a topic in the forum, and post your progress each level. There's a great uploading service by DeHackEd here. Then, people could watch your progress and give you pointers. They aren't trying to put you down, just point you in the right direction. As you do this more, you'll need feedback less and less, as the "normal" things TASers look for will come to you more naturally as your experience increases. This way, you could use that determination of yours to continually improve your run until you finish it and submit it. There is also a list of NES runs made with Famtasia (an older emulator without as many tools as FCEU), and they could all be improved. That list is here. Just let someone know if you decide to work on one of those runs so it can be marked as such on the list. Haha, I just read my own quote "as your experience increases" and it sounds like this hobby is an RPG. :p

Well, uh, that was before he submitted it.
I think its have been a misunderstanding here. When I asked "Didn't see anyone who complained there?" I meant the GAME. Not his TAS. And I don't know if I can agree with some of you guys who claims that I "Play for ego." I want the movie published, so that viewers can enjoy the TAS.
it just requires patience, which you definitely have.
Well, thanks man! I'm doing my best. But some games I just find to hard to fix. But on the other hand splatterhouse was kinda hard so..Why not pick a tough game?? I appreciate the link as well! [Edit by Bisqwit: merged two posts into one. Please use the edit function where applicable.]

In any case, I don't want to see more submissions for this game.
If it wasn't for that opinion I would love to show you my new run of Robocop. But you can't always get what you want can you? I think I will start make Super-play movies with the GBA emulator. Maybe some people would like that
There are many good GBA games so you might like to give GBA a try.

If you need to post a lot of times really fast, you should just edit your last post rather than actually post again. Just to let you know.

Diman, it is recommended that you post your progress and ask if anyone has ideas, strategies, improvements, or glitches. If you do that, no one will say that you are "playing for ego".

Wait! I did write that once and I was terrible sorry back then! Then I've changed that to a quote message instead. So what I'm telling ya is that its already fixed. But I can understand if you wore angry when you saw something you didn't write. By the way: I will quit posting a lot in a row. I just want to make everybody happy out here. I'm going to edit and fix so many posts I have time with in the moment.

Your run (smb2) looks better than last time. However, I'm surprised that you left out the illusionary glitch. And I think it is faster to take damage and drop the block onto Birdo rather than throw it. Next time, check the Super Mario USA tricks page on this site as well as other smb2 runs before doing your run.

I'm not angry. I'm just saying that I didn't post it and one should be careful when quoting.

I'll quote Bisqwit on this one:

Do you know where the button is? Do you know what it does? Edit: This is an example of how one should edit, rather than making a new post.

Yes I know where the button is. I will fix my other posts when I have time.

Unlike some other people, I think this was a good game choice. This is one of those old school games that was completely illogical and had the goofiest ending. ^^ You ran it well and I don't see any problems with it. YES vote.

It was played good.. But the game kinda funny. My only complaints are (1)that during some waits, you just stand there sometimes, not moving. (2) The game is repetitive. (3) the ending is stupid. But on the good side, I doubt this gameplay can be completed in a real speedrun, making it impressive play. Im not really fimiliar with the game, but im sure anyone who played this game before would be impressed. Yes vote.

Thanks a lot! The game is really dumb that you can't move immediately when your done with some bosses, you'll stand still if you are on the right side, therefore I'm going back and start to walk. I think its a shame. I can record a demo movie that shows you what happens. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1016/what%20happens%20if%20I%20am%20on%20the%20right%20side.fcm

This is the weirdest game I've seen in a while. The woman with the entire population of Earth's spiders insider her was strange. The enemy ghost with the fork and knife was just funny. The Klan member residing in church was goofy - and it was goofier when he kidnapped you into the giant pumpkin's mouth. But the girl who attacks you with both the wooden chairs and HER OWN DISATTACHED HEAD was the best. As you can probably tell, I was entertained by the game. The playing seemed excellent for the most part. I'm not sure a few of the bosses were optimal, but I'm not sure if they die after a certain amount of enemies are killed or just after a certain amount of time has passed. Anyway, I vote yes. WINNERS DON'T USE DRUGS! (just tool-assistance)

Well you should get started then because I was planning to accept this movie. How long do you think it would take you to complete a new run?
