I have two great ideas but I can't produce them due the lack of good video editor. But your videos are looking good, keep it up guys.

I made a Mega Man X music video today. It includes almost every boss fight in the game, X1 that is... The song in the video is "Maybe I'm a Lion" from Final Fantasy 8, by The Black Mages. I think it's a good song, it suits the video quite well. Quality is still a little crappy, but not very bad. Filesize is pretty big, 37 MB. I don't know how, or if, you can choose what codec to use when encoding the movie with moviemaker. In short, this movie went very well. I hope you like it. I liked the ending the most i think. Oh, here it is. EDIT: I almost forgot, thank you all for your motivating words! :) It's good encouragement and motivation. I hope you like this movie as much.

Nice video Randil! You seem to be getting the hang of this, the transitions from fight to fight were really nice. The song also mixed well with the video. Good job!

Thanks! :) But I'm still pretty mad that the quality is bad... And I can't seem to use videos encoded with the H264 codec, so I have to use old avi:s... But I'm glad you liked it.

Ok, I just finished my second video. You can get it here. This time I used CtrlAltDestroy's 1943 video (with his permission of course). This video is only 3:44 and about 35 MB. The quality is pretty good seeing as how the background is mostly water and that sometimes gets a little blurry for some reason. The song I used is The Urge's "It's My Turn to Fly" from the Titan A.E. movie soundtrack. The font is small because I didn't want to spoil the suprise. If you knew the name of the song right away I fear it might give something about the movie away. Or I could just be being paranoid. Either way, enjoy the video! EDIT: File is about 35 mbs, not 22. Sorry for the mixup!

Nice done, thanks. But by me the file size is 35 MB and not 22 MB. Have I do something wrong?

Looks great, and it fits the song too well. Good job. Now you just have to learn how to add title screens, and do fadeouts.

I don't know much about the video quality, but that was a fun MMX video to watch. Nice work, Randil!

I finally got around to making adelikat's video. You can see it here. This video is of his Punch-Out run, using a song he made himself! The video is short and sweet so I hope you enjoy it. Also, I made another version of the 1943 video that I never posted. I made this one before the second one using a different level. The only reason I made the second version (the one I posted first) was because I thought using a different level could've made the video better. You can get it here. Same song but different level. Aren't you guys lucky? You get 2 videos today for the price of... nothing!

Ok, just had time to watch your new videos now, Tailz. The Punch-out video was really cool, though I kinda hoped that adelikat would sing in it ;) But the song was nice, non the less. The 1943 video was great too, good song, and good run too. So yeah, I feel kinda lucky. :) Keep 'em TAS music videos coming!

I've checked the code. Unfortunately it all seems to be mixed with one sound processor (DSP700). You might be able to dump into SPC and use SPC2Midi to filter out certain events, but I haven't checked this Path. But what could work: Just use a "cheat" at the beginning of the movie and mute just the music if the game supports it (SF2 afaik does it ...). If you are lucky, this won't lead to desyncs. If you are unlucky, well ... Just an idea. cu Fabian

That was a great watch! It was neat seeing the music coincide with the play so well.

That was really cool! It also gave me some ideas on new videos. I've had one in mind for a while and if I can pull it off it should be really cool. We'll just have to wait and see XD.

I've been lurking here for quite some time now. This thread finally made me sign up. I was too lazy to ask for anyone's permission on turning his speedrun into a music video so I messed around with FCEU myself =/ No divine TA-skills involved (actually it's a shame), but here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLuCzanO5do Is it okay to mix runs of different games together? If so I might make a more serious attempt using an actual TAS from this site. :3

Your music video was fun :) And I've been thinking about doing my own video with many TASes in it (so it's a okay), but I haven't found a good video editing tool yet. Looking forward of seeing more of these music videos.

Actually, I thought of this idea a while back ago and posted a topic relating my video and I got no reply. Well, since I got my computer back up and got my files back up, here is a link to a Rygar Speedrun with Between the Buried and Me playing(the song goes pretty well with the run.) http://s33.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=11P840BDH5H9M1BTA9F9JHGQ31 You only have a week to download it. Enjoy

*now uploading new version* MMZ4 1 mission / GGXX#R OST - Same Character I was making this movie for me and My friends but in this mission music seemed to fit video quite nice. It's not comparasion, it's just 2-in-1 movie for mz4 fans ^^ UPD: I remade this movie as I noticed that If I use one track for two missions (instead of beginning a new one for second mission) it looks synchronized quite well sometimes, especially on xaphan's beating second boss =)

Nice video! A little short though... I know who Xaphan is, but who is playing this "Sakura"? Or is it Xaphan that's playing Sakura too?
