Meh, it's just mean that they all were not enough skillful to do it. Ok, i intrigued. I will try to beat this game by my own. *At expert mode with 1P difficulty without cheats obviously. Note: It will be not optimised movie, just simply attempt to verify - is possible or not.
^Nice one. Very grateful for any work you do on this. :)

@goldenband Well, my attempt was successfully completed. Behold the proof that it is possible to beat the game in 1P on Expert: Link to video Now expression "the time limits are just too strict" sounds like a funny joke. Usually a lot of unused time left. In most of levels i even dared ignore capsules of time (which possible get from dead ninjas).
I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Current projects: NES: Tetris "fastest 999999" (improvement, with r57shell) Genesis: Adventures of Batman & Robin (with Truncated); Pocahontas; Comix Zone (improvement); Mickey Mania (improvement); RoboCop versus The Terminator (improvement); Gargoyles (with feos)

^Awesome! Thanks so much for looking into that. I'll let the folks at Sega-16 know; perhaps they can adopt some of your strategies. Do you think you'll go ahead with a full-scale TAS, then?

Sorry no. Game is just too long... it take eternity to make optimised version. But as i promised, i did second playthrough with slightly better play (~25 mins faster). Enable video in previous post instead of old sloppy movie. How knows, may be it will inspire someone to do full-scale TAS in future.

This game is so buggy that there really ought to be exploitable glitches.

Seriously? I can look at it soon. One thing I should warn you about: unless I go for a glitchless run, the TAS of that will look a lot like this one. And I am going to use glitches, because otherwise it will take way too much patience and time. (upd) Almost done. When I finish with the encode, I will post the run in the proper topic, as it doesn’t make sense to submit it. Stay tuned.

I'd like to see a California Games TAS on the Genesis, partly to find out whether or not successfully completing the game's "Compete in All Events" mode offers any kind of additional ending screen/sequence beyond what you get with the individual events.

The Misadventures of Flink personal note: most of magics are useless, the only necessary are Shrink and Ghost, necessary to do the sidequests

You can go ahead and mark Gauntlet IV as WIP - Numbers and I are doing the TAS now and already have quite a bit of progress. We've set up shop in the thread that already existed for it. No current ETA on completion, unfortunately; Numbers keeps finding more optimizations, and I have been heavily researching the route for optimacy as well. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=465631

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBH2IOGw2B0 this game is beautiful! Also soccer-themed and looks like has good mechanics.
TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

I was actually thinking about doing that game. I hadn’t gotten too far into it yet but was interested because a friend of mine runs that game.
