Ah, I see. Going straight, then quickly heading for the ramp is faster than just turning towards the ramp from the start. It's easy to see why that's faster, but one would think it'd only be faster if Sonic traveled distance than what he does.

Up to the first ramp its actually a frame slower to go straight then turn really fast, the reason its faster over all is because hitting the ramp sideways gives more upward speed for whatever reason, making you stay in the air longer, and being in the air after a ramp is a fair bit faster then being on the ground. Also for some weird reason the trick doesn't give an extra boost on the last ramp.

Found something interesting in City Escape. I think it might be able to save time if optimized or done in a better spot. Since I have pretty much no bandwidth I just uploaded the .dtm. Haha wishful thinking. But I don't think it's possible to get enough speed to make it while still on the board. Also falling isn't really the fastest way of movement, so even if it were I still think that doing the old strat with the ramp would be faster. Not to say I won't be looking into finding a faster way than that.

Thank Brian :) Oh also, the City Escape m2 TAS desynced. I've never had this problem before, I have no idea what could have caused the desync...
