Hi there, I'm new to this "watch replay". So, I was watching the Chrono Trigger replay and since it's 4 and a half hours long, when I was at 2:00 hours gone, I saved state(thinking it would work) and closed snes9x, then I went to continue to see the movie and I loaded the CT game, then the CT movie, then I tried to load the state I saved in and it said: Snapshot not form this movie I assure you it is the same file, all I did was close the emulator and then open it again? Does anyone know how i can continue to watch the movie?

brazilian? Load the rom and just load the savestate (no movie). see if it's at the point you stopped watching. Maybe you're loading the wrong state slot number, or someone has saved a state over your state while not watching the movie.

What you described sounds like it should have worked. I'm not sure what you could have done wrong to get that message... - Did you have read only on? (would have been another error) - Did you use the same Snes9x, same ROM, and same movie file? (would also have been another error) I'm not a lot of help.

I've tried that, but when I load the state without the movie, it loads, but the movie doesn't continue, it loads and I have to play... Edit: Truncated, yes I have tried those things... and yes they are all the same files.

yes, but is it at the correct point that you stopped watching?

I guess your best bet at this point would be to play the movie and fast-forward (using TAB) to where you watched previously. All I could think was that maybe you stopped movie playback before making your savestate? That can cause trouble.

FODA, this is what I tried to do: I load the game, opened the state, then i loaded the movie, and it went back to the start. JXQ: If i use Tab it Desyncs...

Okay, here's my suggestion. Make a quick test in the beginning of the movie if savestate fast-forward works at all: 0) get the latest improved Snes9x from here if you haven't already. 1) open Snes9x 2) load ROM 3) play movie, and make sure to check Read-Only! 4) let it run for a while... 5) make a savestate 6) let it run for a while more... 7) load the savestate you made You should rewind a few seconds. If THAT doesn't work, there's something fishy. I think you can basically give up getting your previous savestate to work. I don't know if this game is especially sensitive to desynching with TAB fast forward, but it should work normally. Worst case scenario, you watch it again, or someone is kind enough to provide a savestate, or you get the AVI.

Also, maybe it wasn't really in read-only mode. Is that still a bug?
