Does anyone think time attacks of these games would be entertaining? There certainly isn't as much action as in other types of games (well, Lolo has a bit), but it is very impressive on higher levels to see these games done impeccably. Of course, another limitation is that these games tend to be so prohibitively long. Any thoughts?

Actually, I think zophar has runs for two outta three of the NES Lolo games. Some of the rooms are just plain ridiculous in how precise you have to make your movements. I, for one, would love seeing perfect runs through any of the Lolo games. Especially the GB ones, which, for whatever reasons, always seemed harder. But, to be fair, I'd probably watch movies of just about anything. o.o;

I started doing Lemmings because I was bored, not planning to submit it. It is SOOO boring. (the movie, not the game)

can't u set it all up as fast as possible and use the acceleration button? there are some lemmings games wich you can accelerate and de-accelerate whenever u want, right? that would be better choice for a timeattack

But, to be fair, I'd probably watch movies of just about anything. o.o; I would, too. I'd love to see, at some point many years in the future, a run for just about every game on a console. I can honestly see things like this becoming the next gamefaqs- after all, seeing someone play a game perfectly often gives you -great- tips on how to play it normally, and shows you all the shortcuts etc. Of course, I could just be crazy.

Lolo speed runs I think would be fairly entertaining (at least to me) I tried doing one myself and got kind of burned out on it, but there are definitely some levels that take exact movements to get through as quickly as possible

Adventures of Lolo videos would make good solution guides for players who get stuck, but I can't imagine them being very entertaining for someone who's already beaten all the levels. I just realized that the button press recordings for Lolo could be made to start "from now" at the beginning of a level, since everything's frozen until Lolo moves. So a player who got stumped could download the appropriate movie for the level, play it as the level starts, and see the level be completed.

Although now that I think about it, it might actually be a good idea to compete with each other on attacking the times of individual levels in Lolo, because while the viewer wouldn't care so much if the video's slightly shorter, it would be fun to look for new ways to shave off time. And as always, it's a joy to watch the hero bravely storm the castle straight through and never once falter or be touched at all, rather than seeing him fail a dozen times on most of the levels and getting frustrated.

Fine. I'm making a Adventures of Lolo 1 movie. I'm not going to submit it to Bisqwit because I don't think that its interesting enough. I'm about halfway through in 10 minutes. It'll be done sometime this week.

After reading the first post of this topic, and realizing I had never played any Adventures of Lolo games, I tried the first game. Since I wanted to finish the game anyway I thought why not record it, so I just finished a movie of part 1. Ít's entertaining to watch once, but that's it. If there is any interest in this I would submit it.

Try the second game. It's MUCH harder (and therefore more impressive?). I haven't played much of the third game, though.

What's your time? I have 19:06 and I'm just about to enter floor 9. Edit: By part 1 did you mean floor 1? If so, ignore my post.

I had 18:37 at the point I was just about to enter floor 9. My total time is 24:26, but I might improve the level before the last level, so I may crape of a few seconds (maybe none).

You did it that fast your first time through? I didn't think that my movie was that slow. Are you going to put it up somewhere so that we can see it?

Well... I mailed it to Bisqwit, so it might be up sometime... I just don't know how long that will take, since I mailed another fmv more than three weeks ago, and that one isn't up yet. (It was my first (and only) time through, but I did use a lot of rerecords (over 1000).)

If you can, can you mail it to me at highsummonerbob@yahoo.com? If you don't want to do that its fine, but I am curius what I did wrong. I don't think that Bisqwit will put it up though. My movie is not that interesting. And about your other movie, if he hasn't put it up after 3 weeks, i dont think he ever will. What movie was it?

I'll mail it to you tonight (I can't right now). The other movie was a Tmnt2 run (which I myself think is very entertaining).

Just for the record, Lolo 3 has around 25 areas, with I believe 5 levels per area. I seriously think more, I just know that it practically kills the series with its amount of puzzles, so...enjoy!

Yeah, the third game has 110 levels, while the first two have 50 each, AND the puzzles get harder and take longer to solve as you advance from one game to the next...some of the last 20 or so levels of Lolo 3 are incredible pains to figure out on your own. o_O So a run on Lolo 3 would very likely take more than twice as long as the first two games...

The second game has 55 levels if you count the boss battle and the secret levels.

Bob Whoops and I exchanged our movies, and it seemed both could be improved a lot mixing a few strategies. I made a new movie using Bobs tactics in a few levels, and improving both Bobs and my routes in almost every level. The new movie is 23:54 long, which is 32 seconds shorter than my previous version.

Interesting... What tactics did you come up with? Maybe I could suggest a few.
