Pretty good, but doesn't it lack the word "forum"?

That's a very common theme. Are you sure that a very similar logo isn't already used somewhere?

How about using the Famtasia icon as a logo? Edit: Or maybe you can use a picture of a NES as a logo.

Remember that the Famtasia emulator isn't the only one used to make videos, althougth the videos belong to NES games, the majority are not been played on a NES. What about put some famous NES characters together in the logo?

I like the idea and look of Mahatma's logo, but I'm afraid it's already used widely. Lezard's suggestion is what I would have done, but I said I can't design logoes :)

I can tell you that lezards idea is widely used. I don't think i've ever seen a pure mario logo anywhere...but if someone comes up with an idea, i'd be willing to make it.

True, but Mario alone...how about another character, one not used too much, like the one of KunG Fu alone, Link or Blaster Master...??? any idea?

How about a picture of different NES characters either lining up getting ready to start a race, or already in the race. I think this would be an appropriate logo since most of the videos are speed runs.

I don't consider making timeattacks as a competition, thus an image that shows a race is not a good thing inmy opinion. It might be competition for you because you think only faster is better :)

Ok, how about this idea. How about a picture of Link dashing forward holding his sword in front of him and enemies on all sides. Another possibility would be to go through my Zelda speed run and find a place where Link hits 4 darknuts at the same time. That would make a cool logo.

Only if it doesn't look less interesting.

If all you care about is being interesting, then why don't you have the SMB tricks videos on your page? If you don't have them, I think I have them somewhere on my computer and I could send them to you. Anyway, I have four site suggestions. 1. There should be a link to the NES videos page on this forum. 2. It should say the name of the topic on the post reply screen. 3. On the NES videos page, you should say in parentheses next to the title of each game which version was used. 4. In the section with the small pictures that says what speed runs everyone made, you should have a link to smb3j under Michael F.

> If all you care about is being interesting, then why don't you have the SMB tricks videos on your page? Because it repeats too much and while it's insightful, it's boring. > 1. There should be a link to the NES videos page on this forum. Agreed. > 2. It should say the name of the topic on the post reply screen. You should suggest that to phpBB developers then. > 3. On the NES videos page, you should say in parentheses next to the tite of each game which version was used. You're right. I don't know it for all of the games. > 4. In the section with the small pictures that says what speed runs everyone made, you should have a link to smb3j under Michael F. You're right. However, it's hard to create an exception like that. The list is automatically generated from the array containing the entries...

Done. Suggestions for changes to the text are welcome. > 4. In the section with the small pictures that says what speed runs everyone made, you should have a link to smb3j under Michael F. To keep it fair, I reverted it back like it was - without listing authors. Regarding the logo, I'm thinking of Mega Man with tens of hands, suggesting he's doing impossibly lots of things simultaneously.

Hmm.. KungFu isn't used AFAIK, interesting idea... Also, some of the newer torrents have no tracker on the page.

What do you mean?

I have another site suggestion. The speed runs should be in alphabetical order (by game title). There are so many speed runs now that sometimes it takes awhile to find a certain game.

I meant that some of the newer speedruns didn't have the "seeders and leechers" tab in the bottom of their table. Should I get started on a KungFu logo, or are there any better suggestions?

This happens when the file is so new that nobody has yet begun to download it. The tracker doesn't have statistics available. You are too eager. This is the second time your "bug" has been solved by simply waiting 10-15 minutes.

And by the way, what happened to the logo after all?

why can't we access the index by clicking on the logo anymore?
Because background images are not clickable. Click the "Nesvideos Forum Index" link instead.
