I recently split the nesmovies page to separate pages because it had grown so much that there was too much stuff on a single page. Any other ideas how it could be improved? I would like to keep the "purpose" and "rumours" sections fairly visible, because they're imporant to keep people from spreading false rumours and claiming "these are fake" with loud voice.

I'd suggest moving the top 3 news items to the top of the page, so regular visitors can see isntantly if new movies have been added.

Well, that was rather quick.. Suggestion #2: Put the names of the games underneath the little pictures, to make it easier to go to the game you want further down the screen, perhaps abbreviated a bit. I find it difficult to disinguish the games by a tiny, pixelated screenshot...

The names already appear in the title parameters of the images. Hover the mouse cursor over the image to see it.

On section Latest Updates you have this line of text: "[click here to unhide the older entries (works on MSIE only)]" It works on Opera too!

This is more of a suggestion to improve the forum: add the Quick Reply mod to forum to make replying to posts faster and more convenient. It definitely help those who have slower internet connections as well.

But it would make all the message-reading pages longer, wouldn't it? I think it'd cause more traffic than benefit. It's only useful if everybody is usually replying to all discussions they're viewing. That's certainly not the case. (Also, I don't know how to install it.)

it would actually reduce the amount of traffic a lot since the user won't have to load another page to reply. The mod places a small box right below the "post reply" button, wherein the visitor can post their reply. Installation takes about 5 minutes; you only have to edit three files. It's not a necessary update, just something I think would improve the forum.

Let's see - this message was posted with the quick-reply thing. It indeed does make all the pages a little longer - causing more traffic. Bah, it doesn't allow typing the subject... Maybe I'll add that manually.

I updated quotes a bit, because I don't like the standard idea that quotes should be very striking. In some forums quotes are in bold and a lot "louder" than the actual post, but phpBB's subSilver theme is way better than that. I flattened it a bit more, mostly by removing the borders, background colour and indentation. So now it looks like this:

I think it would be a good idea to add a section to this forum for discussing specific games. There would be one topic for each game (or at least each game that someone wants to discuss), where we could discuss strategies and other stuff just for that game.

add a section
Why not just start a thread for the game that you want to discuss?

There's probably going to be more than one game I want to discuss, and I think this is important enough for it's own section. It also seems like it doesn't belong in the NES movies discussion section because people haven't been discussing games too much. It's more like a discussion about Famtasia and the movies than the gameplay itself. Another important reason is that it would be more organized than just mixing together the two kinds of discussions. I hope what I said makes sense, but I guess if the new section doesn't seem successful after 2 or 3 weeks Bisqwit could always remove it.

I think that is a good idea, so that in one thread we can discuss a specific game and/or movies made of this game and ways of improvement of the same, this way we can evade confusions and don't need to go to page 1 to see what we are talking about.

I think we should change the default forum picture at the top left of the forum that says "phpbb creating communities" to one that reads the title and matches the content of this forum. It would make the board less generic and set the tone a little.

Does someone want to do that? I'm bad at designing logoes. Besides, the zsnes board has the default logo as well..

I'd be willing to crank something up. Should it be the same size and width as the top one?
