I had some lack of motivation but I'm finally done with this run!
Here are some notes about the run:

Level 1

I used the star for my advantage in many places. In the boss, I shot the fireball from the pervious room so that I could get the star ready faster.

Level 2

Some better star usage here. After picking up the secret item and riding the bird, I choose the lower path so I can use star which is faster. I used same kind of tactics in the boss as Nitsuja. I had to be slower though because the boss wasn't asleep anymore :P

Level 3

I couldn't use the same death-shortcut as Nitsuja because I had to get the secret item. I was a bit faster in the boss.

Level 4

Luck manipulation is very annoying in Gimmick! It took me a lot of rerecords to get the desired fireball from one of the enemies. I used a lot of shortcuts, and some small optimization in the boss.

Level 5

I used a lot of Nitsuja's tricks but I was able to make them a lot faster. I killed myself after getting the secret item, it's over 20 frames faster but seems bit boring. Again, boss was a bit faster.

Level 6

I came up with a little shortcut in the 4th room, I used star to go from the right side. And I was able to enter the secret room a bit faster this way. The last room before the boss was a lot faster than in Nitsuja's run. Minibosses were pain to manipulate. I came up with the idea to use the bomb first and it saved some frames. In the second miniboss, there's invisible wall so I can't just enter the pipe :/ Boss was greatly improved.

Level 7

I mounted the white monster-thingy earlier. Star was used a lot
And just to note that almost every room was faster when compared to Nitsuja's run (some were as fast as in Nitsuja's run).

Thanks to...

Nitsuja: His run was great help when doing mine. Brushy and Randil: They whipped some motivation into my lazy ass to finish my run :P And special thanks to Brushy, he helped me with this submission text.
Enjoy! :)

adelikat: Excellent improvement. Accepting for publication.

I've watched this run so many times, it's not even funny. I STILL love this game. Sad it's so difficult to actually play normally, plus the rarity of actually getting a cartridge. (I've seen like 2 copies on eBay and they're usually $120 or more!) One thing I wondered about this game... It's obvious where the bosses from levels 1, 2, 4, and 6 come from. They're from the toychest at the game's intro. But where did 3, 5, and 7 come from? They were like, pulled from nowhere. ^^;; Question: Encode with the intro tacked on the end, or not? It adds on a grand total of 1min 20 sec. I'd even include some cute story explanation subtitles. ^^ (Say yes. We all know the intro to this game kicks ass.)

The information listing has an error. Sami DOES take damage during the run. Once during Level 6 and during Level 4(?). Plus he does once too in Level 5. Isn't "uses death as a shortcut" usually listed too?

I had never even heard of this game prior to seeing the time attack, but it still turned out to be one of the most entertaining I've seen so far. This run was nothing short of masterful. Great job!
