A couple of people have put up a request for this game to be done. I, for one enjoyed it a lot and would sure like to do it but don't think it is a wise idea. The game would take a very long time to complete even if tool assisted. Another factor is it would get pretty redundant with all the text skipping and the battle animation would have to get turned off for the fastest time possible. That alone would make the battles dull, boring etc. Is it even worth thinking up strategies for this game and attempting a run? I'm still a noob to this stuff so still learning the basics.

I'm no pro myself, but having been around for a while, I can say that a TAS must be of a well known game or really entertaining to make it. Since this game isn't really all that well known, it would need to be really entertaining to watch, especially if it's going to be long. That is the real challenge to overcome for long games, keeping it lively and entertaining. Some games just aren't setup to make entertaining movies.

Yes, it is incredibly long and tedious really, such a shame. I started doing it, didn't even get to the first scenario and then i realized this it isn't going to work (21000 frames of skipping text and using menus!). It's just too luck dependent and long to do. I guess only famous rpgs will ever have a chance of getting done.

Wouldn't this run take something like 10 hours to complete, even with one powerhouse group and luck abuse?

Likely even more, even with 1 dominant group, you'd need one other competent one because some levels have enemies charging from different directions and you'd have to leave one at hq. I have never ramboed through the game like that but it might be interesting at least.

yeah and even then you get the "bad" ending. This is gonna probly never be done cause of length and intrest, i'd love it, but i'll be long

The length isn't really that big of a problem for this game.. just a lot of cut scene is what makes it so long. Charging through the battlefield should be relatively fast because you just have to pick 1-3 destinations then watch them move... but planning this could take a while with all the levels. Fast movement would be on of course along with turning off battle animations, Does anyone know what the best start up team would be? If i had some help with this i'd do it.

I've played through this game many times, so I think I'd have quite a bit to offer here. Wizard/Sorceress combos are extremely damaging, and you can probably manipulate things so they activate often. An ideal group would most likely be 3 spell casters in the back, and 2 heavy hitters (like black knights, or paladins) in the front. Using the main character in your powerful attack group probably isn't a good idea, however.
