I thought you could always go back? Just go to very first room with the moon and press up on the little platform/pedestal thingy. Black Belt would probably be a good idea to toy around with. I'm not sure how much better it would be over Satan's Ring since it doesn't actually add any INT. Something you'd probably have to find out yourself, after all it's only 3 extra STR.

I remember I have tried it but didn't work but in fact IT WORK. thx dude. Where can I get some info on boss hit point? thats +3STR might help a lot lol there is no way I can get the fast dashing animation soma crouch evertime on the groud make me lost about 2frames everytime... EDIT:nevermind I'll watch your amazing tas and try to figure how I can do it :)

My suggestion is that while you can't see boss hit points, you can see how hard you hit them, so you can use memory search such that every time you hit the boss, you search for all values that are (that amount of damage) lower than before. If it's not possible with the emulator's memory search functionality it should be possible with the program Memory Hacking Software.

I dug this up from a few years ago. It was made by Yrr, might have some stuff you can use in it. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1727790561/BossRush%2B.vbm e: nvm, ends just before the Balore fight.

I used to make a BR run several years ago: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/171653208/AoS%20BR%20Run.vbm Hope it helps:) EDIT: You can find the original post here

wahou it's really impressive dude. My record is actually crushed by yours. why tasvideo hasn't published AOS boss rush yet? I can't find it on movie. edit "nevermind i just read the topic" I have no idea that it was possible to shoot before the door was close. I like the rush but I hate you cause I have to change everything now. But I guess some of my boss is a little faster but I'm not sure. Anyway what is the actual record? good stuff man It was awesome to watch.

Big golem : I have to use blocking mail armor to be able to dodge the first hit and be invulnerable for few frames. Allow me to use Black panther soul almost the all time. Ascalon is the best weapon to increase strength of souls but I have to switch to claim’s solais at the end because the weapon does cancel the animation when soma get back on the ground.
You can cancel heavy weapons with backdash. Might be more entertaining than another pausescreen.

yep i knew that but it's faster to change than using a backback. nvm I use black belt right now and i don't have to change the weapon.

Pretty damn long ago I started an improvement to the old any%, just because I thought it was supbar. I'm looking to maybe continuing it now. Pie Looks pretty good thus far, I really stepped up the optimization level. I noticed a cute trick involving the red area doors, where you can save a single frame by just being in a really good position while the door is opening. The walk to the actual blackout of the door transition is then 1 frame shorter. 229 frames ahead of my old run at this time. I stopped earlier because I brickwalled at the Catoblepas. The soul is really close, just can't seem to pinpoint it cause the stupid Ectoplasms make the room change rng like 6 times per frame. Edit: Uuh, I got the soul after like 20 minutes of dicking around. Time to progress I guess. Edit2: Nevermind, skipping this Catoblepas to get a glitched level-upscreen after the Yoko cutscene.

Thanks. I'm taking a timeout since I want to keep up this level of optimization while still staying somewhat inspired to keep going. It's a great shame that the 100% and any% now look so similar, which is another bummer I suppose. I also have some issues with experience management, it's not really working out as I want it to. I will definitely keep working on this run but the progress wont be even remotely as insane as it was with my earlier runs.

Nice improvement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZlE0JWRvQI This video by arukado (not sure if he has posted it here) abuses the same warp glitch. Maybe this glitch can help a lot in a future "all bosses" run.

Hello everyone, hellagels & Pike & I am working on the Julius all bosses run, and we wonder whether Julius should fight himself. This would be an exciting fight but it requires a glitch that needs to waste a lot of time and I think it can barely be optimized (as Fortranm posted above you can watch this glitch on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZlE0JWRvQI) . So should we make a Julius fight or not? BTW, hellagels is also working on a new Any% run of Julius. A WIP is here.[/url]

I'd say yes, since it would show off some cool stuff you can do in Aria.

I agree. The setup isn't that bad to watch and the fight would be more than worth the wait. Using the Gorgon to send you into the wall from that far away, though... I vaguely remember it happening to me once during a casual Soma playthrough, where I was setting up for the Corridor > Chapel warp and the moment I landed on the Catoblepas I got sent into the wall. It'd be worth looking into for the new Julius any% run, since setting up the Catoblepas takes quite a while.

Totally agree. That will probably be the most exciting part of the run. BTW, nothing happens when Julius enters the last room of Chaotic Realm. Therefore the fight in floating garden is literally one of all boss battles that Julius can enter.

Excitement incoming! I'd be all for Julius fighting Julius, and am hopeful you'll find out a faster way to reach him. I'm really curious about the route you'll be taking in general as well.

Yeah, a hard mode TAS is fine. All that happens is Julius takes more damage, and you'll be avoiding that anyway.

Julius do less damage on the boss as well, so boss battle will be longer

If the boss battles don't get more interesting for being on hard you are not obliged to pick hard.
