The encoders already have a huge project in encoding all the accepted movies. I don't see why this kind of further fooling around is necessary.

If someone else wanted to do it, there'd be no reason why they couldn't, though.

It would still be 100 because the secret slides aren't done at the same time, if you've been keeping up with the WIPs. =)
I know, and I realized this when I was shutting down my computer last night. I'm dead serious. >_> So you'll have to find some other way to merge two stars into a single chapter, but I gave the basic idea.

Isn't the metal cap entrance inside one of the levels? Maybe that would combine well.

Come on guys you don't need a hundred chapters. Lets not turn this discussion into a mario 64 Tas dvd iso. We are going off track. I want dvd isos for all the TASES! all of them And Need Bisqwit to please answer my two question.

I don't think asking everyone else to make ISOs for you is the best way to get them. The internet is filled with how-to's on the subject. Might I suggest being proactive?

Dude, I'm not interested in your opinion, and therefore I'm going to ignore that stuff. People stop going off track, if you don't want to do it or if you don't think someone will do it keep that to yourself and don't waste time replying.

Nobody is going to do this if you force them :x

HiddenGamer, what's the point of discouraging discussion? And why aren't you interested in someone's opinion on the topic you created that directly pertains to it? Because it is not someone doing work for you? Inzult's advice is very good; I suggest you do the same - actively pursue this goal by learning and experimenting. If nothing else, you could benefit by toning down the "cater to me" attitude, whether it's your intent or not.

Yeah, the entrance to the Metal Cap Cavern is inside Hazy Maze Cave, but you can't get a star on the way there (except for the 100 coin star, which is combined with another star anyway). So I don't know. I'll stop here with the off-topic discussion. Sorry about that.

It is alright you can talk about the super mario 64 dvd tas iso or whatever. I don't think anyone is going to make all the tas videos on dvd.

It's up to you to change that, then. Go forth and mult-- I mean, create DVDs. :)

I just noticed this. I really don't see the point... Isn't it better to offer choice on which videos you want instead of make ISOs which have the same 5? Or the fact that to get the same quality we'd need to waste a lot more space. I also think if I was going to do this I'd never hear the end of it, please seed! Why aren't you super seeding? How slow is your connection? It's only 4GB! Why aren't there other seeds? This encoder is not going to be doing DVDs.

It is more convient to have them on all DVDs and choose the ones you want to watch and play them on any DVD player , see if I go over to my friends house I dont need to bring my whole dang computer, and the menu makes things more convient.5 movies on a dvd are you crazy? You can fit more then that , most of the movies are nes and with nes you can lower bitrate and fit lots of movies on there. As for your connection problems thats not my problem. Don't be so impatient it probably takes longer to make the dvd iso's then download it, and with downloading you can just leave your computer on and it does the work.

Also owing to the fact that an entire pack would be about 300gb =P

Uhh no. NOBODY is going to share/seed isos when you can watch the movies easily with just a few mb. Burn the roms/emulators/avis/whatever and watch it using the CONVENIENT way (how is it not?) Making isos would be an incredible waste of space/bandwidth believe it or not.

Yea, you would because you are suggesting others do it for you? In other words, no you wouldn't, evidence is this topic.

I would seed. no, because I have read this thread and some people are showing interested in this and just because you arent doesnt give you the right to say no one else would. Someone is planning to make a Super Mario 64 120 start TAS DVD ISO. There shows some interest in it.

download the avis, record a dvd and watch on your friend's DVD player which reads h264. or watch on his computer, i'm sure he has a computer. you can fit a lot more runs on the dvd likes that, and you can also update any run whenever there's an obsoletion. problem solved!

The interest is for the games they like, a nice idea for being able to split them up. I know the mario 64 run is good but i doubt many would download a 4gb iso when they'd gain 0% better quality then just watching it on an emulator if they wanted it HQ. If they want a DVD so bad they'd have a dvd burner to do it and watch it themselves, it aint that hard to do, my point is this is just stupid to distribute since people gain nothing that they couldn't easily do themselves without a waste of space/bandwidth..

I rather watch the DVD in my big screen TV then a computer and I don't want to take my computer everywhere. 6 DVD's or something for all the TAS's made would be a nice thing with a menu, more convient to take where you want and back up all your stuff. Heck, maybe we could mail the DVD'rs too. DVD'rs are getting cheapier too. Show more people that don't have computers and the technology you have. Not everyone is fortunate, and it can be entertaining. You don't lose that much quality these are only nes videos and snes videos at most. and I think you made your point and your opinion no need to reply anymore.
