I think a run of this entire game would be pretty neat; making a separate video file for each game would probably be the best way of going about it. Thing is, I forsee a lot of Wheel use again like in the NES one...maybe you could try to show off all the different powers, but that would compromise time. Plasma is quite overpowered against bosses, I think you can keep hitting them with the shield or something like that...that and Hammer are the weapons I found to be the best against bosses (aside from really rare stuff like the Chameleon's Paint). Now, the big question I see with this run is: Do you want to get 100% in Milky Way Wishes to unlock the Arena (that IS required, right?), then beat that, or do you just want to zoom right through Milky Way? I think you have to complete 100% of everything else to unlock Milky Way, so the other games don't have this issue... Hmm... -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

Well, maybe the runs could be for separate games. So you would just need to set up a completed save file to be able to play the movies. Or, if you want to do a "full run", then yeah, you'd want to get 100% so you could earn The Arena. Everybody loves The Arena!

Yeah, Milky Way Wishes, The Arena, and Revenge of MetaKnight all have to be unlocked. Possibly the Great Cave Offensive as well, I'm not too sure about that.

MetaKnight's game alone would suffice for a run. Dynablade might also be interesting. However, games like the Great Cave Offensive (which would take too long anyways) and Milky Way Wishes require too much hunting for skills or items. Like Bisqwit once said, its more entertaining to see things done quickly and professionally, rather than focusing on item/skill finding. And yes, wheel, , jet, and yoyo would be heavily overused in speed sequences, whereas plasma and hammer would be overused in fight sequences. lets see people use suplex for loophole effects (and there are a few).

Bladegash: Great Cave Offensive is playable upon selecting a new game.

You don't need 100% for game unlocking. The Great Cave Offensive isn't long if played as normal game (no collecting), so that's not a problem either.

Yes, in fact, I think the game lets you skip the entire third leg!

Well there is one boss that does an rpg style damage report... I think either hammer uppercut or the 2P wheelie star does the most damage...

Actually, 2P T.A.C. punches are supposedly the strongest second player attack.

The fire attack where Kirby sets himself ablaze does insane damage... dunno if it's more than the hammer uppercut, but it's definitely on up there.

A single hammer uppercut does 80 damage. And I know that two held ninja slashes do 96. That said, ninja is also a cooler ability. That's where Kirby got his awesome forward throw for smash bros.

Wait, so his throws weren't based on Backdrop/Suplex?

no. the original super smash bros throw is a remake of the ninja skill in superstar. the backwards throw may be the suplex lariat, though.

Yeah, actually, in SSBM, the forwards, backwards, and downward throws are suplex moves, but the up throw is still the ninja skill.

I actually did something instead of watching others play (like I normally do). I still have to do Milky Way Wishes and the Arena, but they're not going to be a big problem. There is around a minute of errors in this movie, mainly switching abilities where it's not needed and getting hit by bosses. I also did the rpg boss pretty bad... I started with the Great Cave Offensive because I wasn't going to do a full run at first. http://jeffrey0.freeprohost.com/kirbyss-wip.zip ROM used: Kirby Superstar (U) [!] I'm not sure if I'm going to redo it... this already took a few hours and there are lots of other games I still want to play.

I did a quick run through the game. It plays all 6 main games through as quickly as possible. http://www.geocities.com/aazurreco/Zurreco-KirbySSrough.ZIP (Uses Kirby Superstar (U)[!] as well) Obviously it is a very rough and flawed movie. It gives you an idea of what a fast run would look like. When I redo it, the sequence will be: Spring Breeze -> Gourmet Race -> Dynablade -> Revenge of Metaknight -> Great Cave Offensive -> Milkyway Wishes If only the CPU wasn't worthless as a helper >_<

Better movie is here Still a few small adjustments to be made, but I don't know if I'll be able to make them before I move into my dorm.

hey dude, in spring breeze, the bosses lololo and lalala, they are much easier and faster to beat if you get rid of the cutter attack and use the bomb. The little black cannon like thingy. That will kill the bosses instantly. will save you a few second ^-^ otherwise, i think that the run was superb.

a) its crash, not bomb b) its slower. i tested using crash vs using cutter. the time it takes to make a sir kibble helper, inhale the bomb, use the bomb, kill the helper, and return to cutter form, is 350 frames SLOWER than my method. trust me on this. Oasiz brought it up after version 1 and i tried it c) i know that crash/paint can kill instantly. however, there is never a good time to grab these powers and use them.

With the first 6 game modes completed, it's only fair that the best mode gets its own competition. Using this savestate and SRAM with the (U)[!] version, youre granted instant access to the arena mode. Feel free to make a movie of your fastest/most entertaining run through all 19 fights, using helper or not (if you wish). This is also open to 2player runs. Please don't submit these movies, though; this is purely a fun competition on the side. I'll have my demo movie out soon enough.

The other 2 mini-games are much more fun for me ;). Just got 201 meters, a perfect score at megaton punch without re-recording. Still can't beat Samurai Kirby on expert without re-records, you have to beat this last guy with at least 7ms reflexes....I've got that once but not for him doh :/. It's a really great game, too bad it wasn't released in EU...that's why I never heard of it before.

Megaton and Samurai Kirby can both be done perfectly with 0 rerecords. All you would have to do is set the game to 2 frames/second and then pay attention. No skill needed there.

Umm yes, I mean without that too of course. Cheating in mini-games like this... that must be cheap, hehe.
