So what did you vote?
Going through walls is always a big + when someone does that. Obviously, it has better graphic than the original game however the feeling is nicer playing the original one. Voted yes.
Two questions
1. How is that super high jump off certain enemies happening
2. Some of the swimming didn't seem optimal especially the section in 8-4
since visually it looked like you could of easilly have swimmed past it earlier.
Incase anyonw was wondering I did vote yes, because witnessing a warpless TAS on lost levels is the only 2D mario game I've ever wanted to see.
EDIT: Where are these mystery no votes coming from I'm convinced its the same person whose doing it.

Very entertaining movie to watch. I especially enjoyed your passing through walls. C4, for example, was filled with a bunch of unexpected moves through walls that made it go much faster than it should have.

Looks great done and fast.
I was very suprised after you beat World 8.4. Not sure if I every hear from this World 9 or A-D before. Must see what on my original cartridges is saved.
I have think it ends after World 8.4 and maybe I never played the other Worlds. But must look later on my SNES to get sure.
Maybe I must beat the complete game again without Warps. I still know how hard this games was as I played it the first time.

Your submission text is kinda lacking, it took me a bit of thinking to understand the benefit of backward jumping--I presume it cuts out some wasted time where Mario sits on the leftside before turning to the right side? And what do you mean by 'wall ceilings'
BUT either way this run was masterfully done, you kept it entertaining all the way through by sometimes taking more difficult, unnecessary paths without missing a step and by being especially vicious with those fireballs! What's interesting is that the single most surprising move in the whole movie is done on the LAST LEVEL: taking damage!
I agree that the swimming does look weak at points, but I think I understand how that happens. Those bottomless pits suck Mario in and do some weird things to the swimming, so I let it go, no problem.
Yes vote here sir
--The roms I have for this game (All-Stars AND world? hm I only ever just got All-Stars) all gave a mismatch warning, but the (u) one worked just fine anyway. *shrug*
I'm glad to see that they didn't change the game physics too much in the SNES version.
I had a few questions about 8-4:
1. There's a place where you wait for a pirhana plant when you have fire power. Why not just shoot it?
2. The swimming didn't look optimal... at the end it looks like you wait for no reason. Were you manipulating something?
Other than that, the run was very entertaining and for the most part impressive. Yes vote.

I think there was a point where he was messing with Mario's movement to enter the pipe the fastest--Mario was too low to enter the pipe but swimming up would put him above the pipe or something, so by messing with Mario slightly beforehand, I think he was making sure he got there in a cleaner looking way, if not faster.
Wow, the platforms in 9-4 spell out "arigatou!", Japanese for "thank you!" :)
There's a way to do that without changes in horizontal motion involved. It just takes lots of trying to get it right. That's how I discovered the Swim of death anyway.
1. I had to duckjump so i cant shoot before i have landed on pipe and then pirhana plant is already going down so fire ball goes over it
2. Like Twisted Eye said if i would go straight to pipe i would ended too high so i would have to wait mario to come down and its slower because i would have to accelrate falling speed again also i think it looks less uglier this way.
Well i had Allstars + world rom only on my computer when i started this run and i didn't see any point to get Allstars only rom when there's no differences in the game.
Nice to see you guys liked it.
Voted Yes -> This is well entertaining and can be compare to Phil & Genisto's Super Mario Bros Runs.
But it would be better if you use Original NES Version, not SNES. I recommend it because all SMB runs are made over NES, So why this one at SNES?

Graphics, sound, and music are better, aaaaaaand I personally haven't gotten NES to work. I assume that the famicom disk...thingy isn't in .nes files, so it's not in the romset I have.
BUt yeah either way, I believe doing it this way was the better choice.
Voted YES. I've been following the WIP for sometimes and I can see things were improved from one wip to the next wip. The final one is defintely entertaining. Thanks for making this run!
Adebis, will you do a complete (no skip level) run of SMB3 ?
(I know there's a currently a no-wrap run, but it does skip over some levels).

Because in the snes version of the game, you only need to get through the game warp less to do world 9
In the nes version you have to get through the game ~8 times without dieing
TOO Awesome! I mean I had work I desperately needed to get done, and this TAS made me sit and watch till the very end! Definitely a YES, No hesitation there.

<OmnipotentEntity> How do you people get bored in the span of 10 seconds? Worst ADD ever.
I'm all for making a warpless TAS of this game, but I'm not convinced of the quality of this movie. I realize the possibility that some of the tricks that work on FDS SMB2j don't work in SNES Lost Levels, but upon first watching, I got the feeling that this movie can be improved. How much, I can't say for sure. Maybe 2 seconds, maybe 5 seconds. Or maybe just 10 frames.
Voting "meh".
Voting Yes, I feel that this warpless run is good enough and should be published. Good work and maybe you could make another run of this game in the future, obviously obsoleting this one.
