That's because it isn't a real improvement. I just corected the banana bonus on Springin Spiders. And i posted here because i needed to make a backup of my progress before format the PC.

With the snes9x build in your sig, I can watch the run fine, but there are graphical anomalies. Like that barrel boss being wraped to the other side of the screen, and the bark openings in tree levels showing the far background instead of the inside of the tree. I've fiddled with layers and transparency but I can't seem to get it looking as nice as it does on znses. Any tips? (BTW nice progress so far)

This happens some times. Just close the snes9x and start again (you can use savestates). Usually the video anomalies correct theyself.

Ok, i finally finished to configure my Windows Vista and 90% of my programs are running well. But because of me, i forget to save my .txt file where i was writing ALL my steps to finish the run. I need to rewrite all my way, what says: Review ALL Bear Coins, bonus, etc... Maybe only in 2 or 3 weeks i can give a good wip now. Short time and a great text lost... what more could i expect?

Don't worry, restarting a run 7 times to get better took more time than it will for you to rewrite that text file. Don't give up tho

After a full month, finally i could post a new WIP. I re-listed the Bear Coins and rewrite my walkthought. Now i think that i could return to my normal time. As i write some posts ago, now i'll copy comicalflop and post WIP every stage. As like i just TAS for 2~4 hours/day, probly i could send a new wip every 2/3 days. Fire-Ball Frenzy WIP It's not so hard to avoid the fireballs, but in one or two moments i need to slowdown because of then (i couldn't have speed to bypass).

Nice to see you're back and working on this. I'll take a look when I get the chance tomorrow. One thing I forgot to mention about posting per stage is that DKC2 was my first TAS, and I needed a lot of outside input since when starting I was not very good at self- evaluation and I could fix mistakes in one the most recent level if someone pointed something out. And I felt it'd keep the followers of the WIPs never waiting too long for new work to come out. As soon as you finish then all DKC games will have full representation, which will feel nice. You might also want to consider improving the any%; I can't improve the DKC2 any% because Arne is working on that, but if you find faster techniques I know no one is working on DKC3 any% so that'd be a good TAS as well. Except poor Sami will have been fully ousted from DKC if you did that.

first of all, you should do something about your avatar. (I'm talking about that saddistic blue boy)
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

Likewise, I preferred the other avatar as well, since it so well reflects computer problems and the following actions people do to their heads.

One thing I noticed when I made my run is I sometimes got similar things in some levels, like marshes or the volcano levels in DKC2. I noticed that whenever I did, it's because I had Windows media player opened with the DKC2 102% SS run paused, either minimized or just behind the emulator. So close any similar programs, and it should be fine- it's not a problem with the game, just that it's transperancy sometimes displayed other CPU intensive pictures (it was really weird when I first noticed the windows media player paused through the transparancy of the background.)

Hey, everyone likes Megaman. And this avatar is allowed by the rules of this board u.u (I liked more the other too, but i like to change sometimes... soon i'll but it back) I agreed with post a WIP per-stage because the DKC3 stages are LONGER in the end, and i have few time to TAS, so wait complete the world says... a WIP every 2 weeks. Just FBF take me yesterday and today to finish. At least, next stage is a autoscrooler, so i don't have much work :)

DKC3 has an auto-scroller? huh I didn't remember that. I did play the game with an emulator but since I didn't enjoy playing it too much (I love watching you though) I must've not memorized this game too much.

3 Auto-scrooler. 2 stages in a Sleigh (not really an autoscrooler, but i can't speed up), and one stage similar to Castle Crush (floor rising), but you can't rise leaving the floor. This stage is the only true autoscrooler.

Demolition Drain-pipe A racing stage, done fast and with a special goal: 100% possible itens and kills (sometimes i need to choose kill an enemy or catch an item).

There's also that one in which a pack of rats forces you (as Ellie) to race through a stage without stopping. I think that one qualifies too. Not to mention that horrible burning rope level... Its nice to see you working on this again. You're doing very nice work, though the green banana bonus stages still look improvable so that the last banana appears closer to where the bonus coin would

Nibelung> this avatar is allowed by the rules of this board No, actually it's too big (67 x 98)... and the animation is annoying.

Got around to watching it today. Wow, you dominated those two levels. I can't wait to see you use Squitter for the mekanos level with the aimed shots at you. I also watched the enitre run and on a non important side note I hate how they changed Squawks' noise when flapping, actual wings sounds are way better than the weird nosie it makes in DKC3. You excelled at all the bonuses in the first level, and the second level you made very entertaining. The bonus with Squitter was actually so good I'm going to study it for when I start working on DKC2 102% improvement. Nice work! I love how you're taking a slow game and making it fast.

I have to agree, that the Squitter bonus level was extremely nice to watch. Overall really good looking WIP.

Right... i really forget these... 5 auto-scrooler levels. And the Rope level have less things to make the stage less boring. I like it. More challenges XD

Just to say... I'm making Mekanos first just because of this level. I love Squitter and this is the only level when i'm playing with him all the time. But at the same time, i'm scarred with the fact that i'll do Low-G Labyrinth with frame advance. Even in console the stage is sloooooooooooooow.

I really think that the avatars here was 100x100, but right, i'm changing now.

for Low-G Labyrinth you can, after the jumps, hit pause to get out of Frame advance, and when you're getting close to a jump or maneuver pause again and frame advance you're way to the next big leap. Or just play that section is 24%/49% speed.

Nah, this is easy. The provlem is because after Squawk's area, probly the stage is faster with Dixie instead of Kiddy (because i can hover the bee's group). The problem is because i have the time for Dixie (jumps, rolls, etc...), but i presume that LGL have different Physics rules because of the speed, so i have to re-calc all again. Is just my lazy screaming to me, don't worry :D

I remember Sami using Dixie for her hover, so I'd assume that it's a good idea.
