The story is that Spider-Man's identity has been discovered and Dr. Octopus and a group of his cronies kidnap Aunt May, it's up to Spiderman to get her back.
Okay, here's some info about this movie and side notes to keep in mind whilst watching.
- Played at hardest difficulty (1) - Abuses collision detection - Aims for fastest time - Takes damage to save time (2) - Uses passwords (1)
(1) If you were to pick up this game the hardest difficulty would be 'hard', however, after completing the game once 'Nightmare' difficulty is unlocked. Since i don't have the luxury of unlocking 'Nightmare' difficulty i use a password at the main menu to unlock it.
(2) I DO take damage to save time to an extent, however, i am playing on Nigtmare difficulty. The enemies and bosses are much more difficult than at hard mode and most noticably Spiderman can only take TWO hits before death. So effectively i can only take damage to save time once. Due to health pick-ups i can do it about three times. However, due to this reason the majority of this movie must be avoiding damage.

Ahh, during the movie, I was wondering why you didn't take damage to go through enemies, but that isn't possible, enemies always act like walls! You should've put that in your submissions text. With that knowledge, I'm pretty certain you did pretty good job. It's a cool looking game, great pick, but the extra difficulty didn't seem to do anything but make the bosses take forever :\ I'll give 'er a yes though!

I knew i forgot something. The enemies act like walls, so you can't pass directly through them. However, you can pass through them diagonally without taking damage, i did this a lot in this run. I opted for Nightmare mode basically because i felt that it would show a game beaten with ease on its highest difficulty level and in doing so would raise the entertainment value. I also agree with your opinion on the bosses and the length of these battles made me consider dropping the project due to the fact that it may not entertain. I decided that there was enough substance in the levels themselves to hold the audience. The majority of rerecords took place in the boss battles as i went for frame perfection to get these battles to pass more quickly (but that is expected anyway).

Hmm... i don't quite know if I like it. It's been such a long time since I last watched a GB/GBC run. My main gripe is that bosses were tooooo damn boring. Especially that Vulture, damn it, i was running the game on 900% and it still took half a minute! Was so hoping that you would just web into the air and start punching him up there. It started to get very repetitive, maybe if you are going to do a revision, consider something entertaining while waiting. Route planning-wise, I can't quite comment on whether it could have been further optimised. Back to the vulture stage, i was just wondering if you could bash through the laser beams and pick up more health powerups along the way. Not sure if that would optimise it further cos searching for health may then again be more time consuming. It's a good thing Twisted Eye pointed out that enemies act like walls. I was wondering where damage taking would come into play cos in stage 1, there were 2 obvious locations where you had to beat the crap out of the road hoggers instead of running through them. On the whole, I am not quite sure if it works for me... I think some revisions to boss battles may be needed

The only boss I've felt was PAINFULLY long was the one vs Vulture. And unless Spidey's hiding some kinda power move or you guys want him to play on Easy, I don't think there's much to be done by way of speeding that one up. I do have one question - why are Phoenix Wright clones trying to kill Spiderman?

There's a big mistake at the very beginning of this run: Not pressing Start to skip any of the cut scenes... Also, some enemies were killed one slow punch at a time that could have been crawled over on the ceiling when they duck or get wrapped in a web. (example: frame 22120) I could see a run of this game getting published, maybe, but this one has way too many mistakes.

........you're right. I've played through this game many times and i never thought to press start to skip all that. As far as the route goes it is optimal. As far as the boss battles go they are optimal (for nightmare difficulty). That mistake in frame 22120 has got me thinking if there are more in there, all similar situations have good reasons behind them. The boss battles are what started my doubts before submitting and even with everything corrected i don't think it would go much to redeem it.
