Looking for some feedback on this. I've started a run on Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings and I'd like to know if I should continue onwards with it or not? Attached is the first level and first bonus round. Is the game itself interesting, do you think? If so, is the bonus round also interesting? They can be skipped... though I would like to complete the full set of Olympic Rings. http://rapidshare.de/files/33890077/Izzy_s_Quest_for_the_Olympic_Rings__W_____.gmv.html

very cute game, maybe it has potential. the bonus stage is very funny and fast paced, even though the collisions look sloppy (don't know if damage gains time...) the first level seems to be well done, but too much jumps really kill the mood, since the moment of the character is rather disturbing. if you'd want to prevent watchers from being bored, I would suggest to reduce jumps as much as possible, and run (or find other faster tricks) as much as possible. good luck !

Trask: I'll have a look sometime this weekend and tell you what I think.

I dont know if this will help you, but I found out that if you run at full speed, keep pressing down while stoping will make you start running at full speed if you press in the same direction again (you have to keep down until you continue running). (hope you understood what I mean ;) ) This could be helpful if you have to stop to avoid hitting an enemy.

Game: Laggy as hell... if you're going to reduce lag in this game to complete it faster, you have a big task in front of you. I'm not sure if people would like it... the reception for Genesis games here is generally lukewarm. It's one is not terrible, but I would suggest looking around for another game. If you do go ahead with this one, complete the bonus levels. Movie: Doesn't seem too optimized. Perhaps this is because the character is so clunky and somewhat unresponsive to your controls. In the first level, you should just drop down instead of hanging on to the vine. (Probably grab it at the very end to prevent fall damage. Test which way is faster.)

Great, thanks. I didn't put a tremendous amount of effort into it yet, since I was unsure if I should continue with it at all. Lag certainly does seem to be a problem with the game, so I'll see if anything can be done about it. Also, I'm pretty sure that sliding down a vine is faster than falling. Further testing needed, I think. I'll see if I can revise this first bit and I'll be back with either a new WIP or a cancellation :)
