I tried it out and I can't even get myself up to P-speed, but that just might be because I don't really know the physics inside out and wasn't trying too hard. Still, even if it is possible to reach P-speed at that point, I'm pretty convinced it'd be slower than just going up the steps and going through the top block.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT! Do you have to have P-speed to do the block trick mentioned above, or is there no way in hell?

I'm pretty sure you have to have P-speed. At least every time I've seen it done (by Genisto, JXQ for example), they have delibaretly gotten up to P-speed before going through.

Looking gooood :D. I do have one question... In the Castle, when you hit an invisble block to be able to go into the door... Couldn't you do as I did in the the movie with the W7 Castle?

you could, but you already have momentum to the right, so by the time you slow down and get enough speed to the left to get your foot stuck in the wall, you could have the block hit and gotten into the door. (edit: no time loss, actually there is a time gain because this allows me to enter the door faster by warping into it, watch that part in frame advance to see what i mean)

I'm pretty sure you know about these two, just wanted to point them out anyway: You shall be able to glitch through that wall up there. Positive here as well.

Unfortunately, you can only go right through walls. But, IDK the rules for going through corners. Would it be possible to go through that corner and keep going left?

That's what I thought about... I've never tried to jump through the edge that way. Can the "go into the pipe from the side" trick be in use somewhere in the run? It probably can, if it isn't removed from SMB3.

Haha, castle 7 looks awesome now :D. Was it only me or did you wait ½ second before you entered the boss? Was that to manipulate him or anything? Very nice so far.

Looks awesome. The castle is really great. Did you test other routes through W7 or did you just decide to go with mine? I'm pretty sure the route we used is the fastest one though.

@ tompala: i was manipulating the boss so that he wouldnt use his wand attack so he would get closer to me faster @ kyrsimys: i tested most other routes, yours was the fastest as far as i can tell.

All of world 7 is being done because of a better route that should save around a minute and 15 seconds or so.

Through where? Run left to where? Do you mean running when you are inside the wall? If so, that's impossible. EDIT: And karter, that's simply awesome. I'm very glad you're working on this, the finished product will be great.

You know when getting the wand from the boss, if you're not half way off the screen (like the 1st boss) then grab the wand when it has gotten to the bottom. That way you won't fall down as long

I had a little test on the second level and ended up roughly about 7 frames quicker although I'm pretty sure it possible to gain 4-5 more, I also sacrificed a little at the end for an entertainment opertunity. Wow, great to see a completely new route for World 7. Is the wand grabbed later to manipulate the short fall or something? I wasn't watching very closely, and all I saw was that you grabbed the wand very late. All in all, awesome WIP. And Chamale, I'm very interested in seeing your movie.
