Seeing as how this thread is an inescapable black hole of suck, I formally petition Bisqwit to ban everybody that has ever posted in it. That'll certainly make it so that the TASers here spend more time TASing than pointlessly arguing. Everybody wins in this case.

Time to change the topic... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/668804540/mockballing.smv 75 frames faster than Cpadolf and it can be improved.

Hmm that's a pretty simple one really, however I would have a difficult time trying to implement it in the ingame any% unless phantoon drops something insane. Some very important refills are made in that room, it might be doable but the gains would probably suffer and be pretty small in the end. Same goes for 100% run where it is impossible to implement. Dunno about the realtime any% or the low% run though. Still a very nice find.

It's likely implementable for low%, since with my current route I'll be pretty much maxed out by that moment. Good call.

Well what about having a 30 frames faster torizo fight compared to JXQ, you where holding that for a long time. (released it first when moozooh prefomed the torizo skip) Or having a ~50 frames faster phantoon fight than JXQ.
Yeah, I didn't provide a smv in the cases you mentioned, but to repeat, my main point was that "all" my claims are based on real achievements (which was proven with the Torizo-fight video I posted later), not on mere assumptions or thoughts. It really shouldn't be that hard to understand.

That's cool. Glad to hear that, since competition never hurts. :-) I understand that you wouldn't like me to work on a any% as well (who wants to see his run being obsoleted after all), but don't worry, it would take a good while for me to finish my version anyway (being busy with SMR and other things), so there is enough time for you to finish and present it until then. Good luck with it guys.

Incredible how some people still don't get it, despite that the facts about how much I contributed to improve the current SM-TAS standard here were repeated over and over again. If that's not trolling, then the memory seems to be pretty weak.

Wow, very impressive one, gstick. You certainly show to have alot of knowledge of SM-TASing already, the more surprising for me that we have never seen you around here before. Keep it up.

Nice find, Taco. But as Cpadolf said, the refills in that room are very important and almost unavoidable, so it will be pretty hard to implent in almost any kind of run. But maybe it's still worth to sacrifice some time to refill this items somewhere else but use the mockball here. In any case, it will be pretty close in the end, so it needs to be tested carefully to know for sure.

Haha, you are so cute, you just make me wanna dropkick you :D The problem is that if you ever make a run, 95.3% will be copied from ours. If not copied, then atleast inspired by.

Taco, Nice find man :) I think you shouldn't have any trouble implementing that into the any% realtime run. I am looking forward to seeing my run obsoleted. Saturn, So you plan to just sit back and wait for them to finish their run, then copy 99% of their input for your's? That sounds familiar to me... kinda like the way you talk to moozooh.

Oh, what a pathetic one you are. Seems like it's hard for you to face the facts without flaming somebody for no reason, especially knowing that it's Taco's work from which you have benefitted so much in first place after joining him. Take it easy.

No, I plan to just copy 90% of my old any% run into the new one, but with the newest techs added in it in a few rooms. It will already be enough to obsolete any kind of run, don't worry.

Saturn, Fair enough. Though if you are simply copying your old run and adding a few new techs, shouldn't you be able to finish the entire run in a short period of time? I look forward to it regardless, because you have proven to be a great SM taser. I just wish you would reevaluate your attitude around here. I can understand that you want to keep your tricks secret, but there is no reason to be so arrogant and mean towards some of the others here.

Ya... Go back to comparing your any% to our RBO wip. Because you know, we are no match for you and your almighty "perfect up to torizo"-bollocks. Taco is undeniably better than me, but that doesn't mean that I'm complete rubbish. I am good at what I do, and that's why I am sane enough to create a run with someone else, while you will sit there alone asking yourself where the heck you keep losing frames to us.

I wonder how can you claim to beat almost all of the frame counts of Kriole and Taco with no smv proof. Didn't you say yourself that moozooh "sucks" because he claims stuff without smv proof, although he did post Torizo Skip right away when he found it out because he knew every run would benefit of it? I sense some contradictions. One of them being telling everyone else to let it go and continuing myself, I'm guilty of that I know.

But it's 'different' because he can prove what he says with actual SMVs. Which, you know, he refuses to share.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's being ruined, either the game or the community, but there sure is a lot of pointless bickering. And yes, I'll admit to having contributed my share.

Will do! Updating our RBO; Yaaaaay! Brinstar improved by 16 frames. - 1 frame at the early super missile room door - 2 frames for an improved pipebug spike before the charge beam - 2 frames for an improved charge beam pickup - 11 frames for an improved green brinstar pipebug room; 9 for the mockball, 2 for the door transition. Upon leaving the Power Bomb room, we are 217 frames ahead of Cpadolf

Damn, I where trying that timesaver for the green brinstar pipebug room for so long in the 100% run, I was so god damned close to getting it but found it impossible. Very nice find. How much did it save to crouch in the first RB shaft, 1 frame, 2? Did you save anything in the PB room? Did you save anything over the falling video I made for the pre PB room?
