I just have to back track a little after I have passed though all the pillars, it should be much faster than powerbombing the ceiling.
Edit:
Here is both rooms done in order moozooh.

Thanks moozooh ^_^
I can't wait for all those runs o_o !
Good luck everyone =)
I really wonder what JXQ impoves in his 100% v2, the current one looks so perfect ^^'
Saturn is a better TASer than JXQ. I just finished watching JXQ's 100%-run, and he could've improved so many things in that run that I've seen in Saturn's videos.

To be honest, Saturn could have improved just as much in his early videos, and he is aware of it. JXQ is already working on an improvement to his 100% run, though, now extensively using memory watch.
However, that doesn't mean that 100% v1 was of bad quality, not by a long shot. Using only the tricks that were known at the time of its production, not much could've been saved, several seconds at most.

Yeah I've heard that JXQ is working on a v2 100%-run. There wasn't that many mistakes, but for example shinesparking up that place where there's Etecoons, or getting the Spore Spawn super missiles without the Crystal Flash, and other small things like that. I assume those weren't known at that time? (at least the SS missiles)
It's just that I've seen all Saturns previews and well, I couldn't find out that many mistakes at least in those. It seems so perfect, but in the other hand I'm not a experienced TASer to notice the difference. Has he already finished his any%-run? Haven't seen any information about it.
But in my personal opinion, Saturn's better.

Right, both weren't known back then, and JXQ will use these tricks in v2.

Not yet. He was in Maridia last time I asked.

This is not true at all. JXQ is a excellent and very fast TASer. It's just that I took much more effort and time to optimize the moves in my vids, where JXQ aimed for a faster completion of his TAS. And as moozooh said, in the very first RBO teaser, there are some rooms that are even slower than JXQs 100% v1 run (for example the Torizo fight).
Regarding unknown tricks, yeah, I'm very glad I discovered them all in time, so there aren't any major errors because of missing tricks there at all.

Right, both weren't known back then, and JXQ will use these tricks in v2.
I discovered and knew both of them by that time. I just kept them for myself in the (by now failed) hope to show some new and surprising tricks in the RBO run, when it would be done.
Regarding the any%, I'm right before Draygon by now. Though I didn't continue this run for a while because I work on the Super Metroid Redesign TAS currently. I will eventually continue the any% pretty soon again.

I never denied that JXQ is an outstanding TASer, but the statement before is just my personal opinion, that's all.
But anyway, can't wait for full speedruns. You have currently pretty many of them in progress, right?

Well, that got off topic.
Okay, about the NBMB. What I'm reading is that the goal is to get items without fighting bosses or mini-bosses, which can be accomplished by glitching your way outside of the room boundaries and wrapping around the map. I'm definitely not very interested in that, especially seeing that an existing 72% run is over 2 hours. That would be a fun personal quest to do in one's spare time for a few weeks, but I don't need to see every single accessible item collected just for the sake of collecting it.
I'm more interested in where it's possible to glitch to. Can you glitch into Tourian? I'd watch a run that defeated Mother Brain without fighting the bosses, even if it was longer than an any% run. It hardly seems like it could be longer, though, so I'm assuming that it can't be done.
TASing or playing back a DOS game? Make sure your files match the archive at RGB Classic Games.
Sorry, a no boss/miniboss run. You have to get as many items as possible without killing any bosses or minibosses after the torizo that gives you the bombs.
Torizo can be skipped in the european version of the game.

You get stuck in a door then you do the X-Ray Climb which consists of constantly crouching and force standing (force standing is when you stop scanning while turning around).
Once you go through 255 screens, you go 1 room to the right
Is this a true fact? If so, does it force you to the right room, even if it's locked, like when you have to kill all enemies in the room first to unlock the door?
Test this out for yourself and see how much time it saves.
Well, first of all I'm no experienced TASer, I wouldn't know exactly how much time it saves. I still assume it's faster than walljump that place up?
Second, none of that was meant to be offensive to you. I don't remember ever claiming that you're not an excellent TASer and your work isn't awesome. And I do understand that when you did that v1 100% speedrun some tricks weren't yet discovered at that time, such as SS supers without CF.
Third, the space to download the shinespark is so short I couldn't do that even with tool-assistance. :) So I don't concreticly know which method is faster in comparison. But as said, I'm assuming it's the shinespark.

I didn't mean that to seem like an attack; I'm sorry if it did. I was just surprised to learn the result, and posted about it in the most recent place I remember it being discussed.
