http://www.zsnes.com/index.php?page=news I can't wait to see TAS videos done in ZSNES, since I really prefer it over SNES9x. Is there any chance that there'll be a SMV to ZMV converter?

Sorry, that's going to be impossible.

Actually the bug shouldn't have happened, but a bit of the logic in the code was off. If you hadn't reported it, I probably would've not noticed it so quickly. The broken logic also threw off some other minor things.

For what reason? Edit: Oh, all ZMV movies have savestates, most SMVs don't.

Glad to be of service. Btw, took a look at the new rls. Looks good, though there's still some stuff i'd like to see fixed (created an accound on the zsnes boards to report it ... figured that's the way to go)

I'm sure a literal converter could be designed, but the chances of it syncing in both emulators is pretty much zero.

DeHackEd: Not even a patch to Snes9x that would create a zmv by playing back a smv?

Converting the formats is not a problem. The problem is that both formats only contain a sequence of button presses. The games react a bit differently, in different emulators, to the same button presses. The changes are very minimal, but enough to cause drastic desyncs. And no, this is not a keyboard layout question. This is a question of emulation technology.

(Standard "when will netplay be in" question here) Any idea when ZMV movies will be acceptable for publishing here? I'm just curious as that NTSC filter is looking damn fine.

However, as for NTSC filter, it requires using a 512xsomething resolution? We have traditionally published SNES movies as 256xsomething... Also, I'd like to see a PAL filter :) NTSC is alien to me.

When I tried it, it required I used 800x600. 512x??? didn't have the NTSC option.

I think a more interesting question is possibly "Why has no-one done so yet?"

Also, is frame advance supported?

Well, I tried frame advance, but... it sorta worked... not like it should, but it did. Anyway why aren't the pause and the frame advance button the same? why would I pause with the P ? And I couldn't find the toasting menu.
