(I'm not sure how many views this thread will get, seeing that it's in one of the least active sections of this site. But oh well, it fits best here.) Load up a game and pretend you're taking a break after a long day just to play on your NES- except record a movie of it and post it here. You don't have to go for speed or do impressive stunts or anything, I just want to see you playing the game normally. Just be sure to play at normal speed and don't use savestates.

Here you go, my first Contra playing session in ten years. Would've been better if my FCEU didn't lag as much. The funny stuff comes starting from the waterfall level.

LOL, waterfall follies. =P That part where you fell through the ledge that was partway off the bottom of the screen was priceless. XD Here's what usually happens to me during a Ninja Gaiden 3 playthrough: fine until act 5, then goes downhill severely. =P Enjoy my many screw-ups in acts 5 and 7. River City Ransom Here's me getting my face smashed in for three hours. The ~30 rerecords were for the twin fight, which was unholy. Very, very boring, but it makes me smile to think that my insomnia might end up curing someone else's. Edit: there was a weird glitch. I think it happened around 260000.

You don't need to use special characters in the file name. Not on your disk, and not in the microstorage link.

For fun, I tried doing an 11 exit Super Mario World speedrun. First attempt in a long time, finished in a bit over 14:30. Here it is.

BMF54123 and Xkeeper Present: How NOT to play Super Mario All Stars: Lost Levels (Not a movie because we used a hacked ROM. I'm sure you can figure out the newest change... but it was also hacked to read from different controller input every death (like SMB) and allow changing between Mario and Luigi on the fly)

I know you said NES, but is it possible that it could be extended to include other consoles? (in particular, Genesis.) If so I can get right on one.

I said NES in a more "for example" type of way, so yeah, you can play anything you want. Good stuff so far. Maybe I'll go and play something like Boulder dash or SMB2 to add to this thread.

That was fun to watch. Some of those parts really looked tool-assisted, like the koopa jump in 1-2. I burst out laughing when you missed the star in 8-1.

It was completely accidental. The first time tools (rerecording, unintentionally) was used was in 8-1. But yeah, it looked cool in my opinion too. I think it may have been the first belly kick we have seen. [edit: moved picture]

Xkeeper's Super Mario Bros. (USA) in 43'00"82 Contains 14 deaths, at least 3 of which are the direct result of a mushroom. Unlike Bisqwit's, this movie does complete the game. (Also, watch with input on. I tend to dance when bored.)

What for me is a "normal" Zelda 1 1st quest playthrough. 1 hour, 43 minutes. (Though I actually made the movie in about an hour-20...I have a habit of fast-forwarding through dungeon room transitions, or just walking straight through large groups of octoroks if I know I can easily take the abuse. XD) Dungeons were 100-percented: I cleaned every room of its items and enemies. (At least I think I did...maybe I missed an enemy here and there, I wasn't really paying attention. <_<') EDIT: Filespace is down a lot lately, so I uploaded this to Microstorage instead and changed the link above. ^_^

Neat. My favorite part was when you paused right before you fell into the pit. I was in stitches. All of your deaths were also really painful to watch. I also liked the "suspenseful" final battle.

It's habtual. I also paused once around frame 133700 (heh)... I'v ebeen playing a little too much Super Mario World lately, so before I fall in a pit I've gotten instictive "start select" to exit without dying... I do it in Super Mario All Stars too , but I left it paused for a little longer and danced while I smacked myself for forgetting that this is SMB1. I'm kind of amused that I managed to moonwalk up the stairs in 4-1 though :)

Here is me playing Mega Man X 1.1. I get all the upgrades minus the Hadoken and I do it in 01:01:43. I die like twice and those deaths shouldn't have happened. Oh well.. I handled Sigma way better than I usually do and I played way more risky. I still had two Sub Tank's left to use. (I usually have to use them all.) Edit: I forgot to mention that I show you how a real man utilizes Armored Armadillo's weapon.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles in... 2 hours 34 minutes 43 seconds... To be fair, I get all the emeralds for Hyper Sonic. I die way too many times against the Death Egg final boss though.
