That was pretty damned cool. Especially the Ken fight.
I really liked how Fei Long followed the sonic boom as he fell to his doom XD

How to succumb to SOR1 like so many others in the past I used to be a pro at this game 10+ years ago so much so that I could beat the game using only one life, but I've lost my touch quite a bit since then, and yeah its those bitch twins in the last level that get me, since there is no police attack in the last level. I have to admit even though Mona and Lisa have psychic powers and deadly tag team moves in the third installment there still harder in the original version.

Couldn't help but notice you did not tell us the name of this game... SOR really doesn't mean much to me

Finally suceeded... just Yeah I figured out you need to use that B+C speacial attack on the twins but face the oposite way and using a well timed turn punch combo is effective as well. I've also noticed that the TAS is one of the longest non obseleted runs on the site. I think I discovered a glitch with the knife which allows you to have instant kills on minor enemies without throwing it awat something which may save a lot of time in an improvement run.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/5501/LOLO.fcm My first run through of Lolo in 6ish months or so. Nothin to special, about 50 minutes with 14 deaths and a few pauses now and then so i could figure out the room. And an early death on floor 2 due to a poorly aimed shot. Quite pleased with one room in particular. Possibly the first time I've ever NOT died to the damn rolly on the lava room with the 20 bridges and the single heart frame.

My best level on SMW is, by a long shot, whatever the level I run here is. I use "Vomit Comet" flying, which is slower in a TAS but the same speed unassisted.

Ever try playing Zelda 2 unassisted, but with the L+R glitch enabled? Not as easy as you'd think.

Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio-tachi no Banka More or less the sequel to Kunio's first game. Found out that Easy mode only lets you go so far through the game, and so I tried to beat the game on Normal for the first time. Emphasis on "tried". Needs Aeon Genesis' English patch, otherwise it'll desync. Kinda important if you wanna know what's going on, because this game actually has a plot. *gaspshock!*

It seems to have a desync around frame 80,000. With the patch, I mean. It had the right checksum. Try beating Shoudai, maybe?

Muh. Ah well. Long story short, I ended up stopping when I had to fight Misuzu again. She owns me but good. Haven't played Shoudai yet, but I will eventually.

Speaking of which, is he going to submit that new run to SDA?

I think Trevor is planning on improving it first. If I'm not mistaken I thought he said he would improve it after doing some resident evil run.

Sorry about double posting, but, Here is an example of me speedrunning mm1 in 25:42. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1654978604/Vatchern-walkthrough-2542.fcm This is a sloppy run with many mistakes, but no deaths. enjoy.

I'll have to try a Kirby's dreamland 3 for this. Granted you'd have to download Snesx 1.51 to view it (the other version has transparancy problems for KDL3, so it's basically impossible to play on it) Keep in mind that I find Kirby's DreamLand 3 very difficult to play on the keyboard. The jump button is too sensitive, and arrow keys aren't sensitive enough. So it may be a crummy run. going for 97% (you'd need to do all the bonus stuff for 100%) Beware that I suck at the last three mini games, so I may have to redo those levels a couple times (at least up to the mini game)

Crummy Kirby's Dream Land 3 97% attempt. Total time? A horrifying 2:10:14! Download Snes9x 1.51 to view this file due to the old version's trouble with the game's transparency. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1767461289/Kirby%27s%20Dream%20Land%2036%20%28U%29.smv I will first say that I do not normally suck this bad. The problems mainly occurred because of the horrible sensitivity of the keys. The Jump key was way too sensitive and always made me jump really high, and the arrow keys weren't able to grasp the concept of running without me completely stopping. So it's my keyboards fault (at least part of it) On the console with the control pad, I can beat level one perfectly. I might consider getting a control pad attachment for my computer. Biggest mistakes? Several rooms I got totally creamed in (usually because the keys weren't working) I died on the level were you need to take Rick to his friend. I hate that level. I accidentally smushed a flower in 2-1 and had to restart the level. Made a stupid mistake in 4-5 while sculpting the shape with the star blocks. Got clobbered by Pteran in every level they're in. I swear those things are the most easy to get hit by enemies ever made. For those who don't know, Pteran are the purple bat type birds that fly on a diagonal. I lost to that stupid Chef Kawasaki mini game. That is the most evil mini game ever. I beat it first try in my first attempt at the game, (which by the way, has never happened before) but not so lucky this time. I never win all of those last three mini games on the first try. Died at "O" had to commit suicide a few times. And just got beat up a lot. I also took a few breaks in between levels to get either a pop or a "fun sized" chocolate bar. (and bathroom breaks of course) I think if I could beat those mini games perfectly and not make any stupid mistakes, I could get under 2 hours. Since I'm home all the time now, I might keep trying this. Though I still got pretty lucky at Kawasaki for beating it second try, and at the fourth mini game, I only won because I made a lucky guess on the last one. (though I was pretty sure about it)

If it was really that bad, then I guess you won't be too upset when I tell you that your movie desynced around 88,000. :/ All I can suggest if you try again is that audio interpolation should be turned off... based on what I've heard.

Oh well. I intended to re try this anyways since I bought a controller. I can handle Kirby waaaay better with the controller. I had a good run going, but I accedentally forgot to get R.O.B's head in 3-6, so I had to give up for the day. Will retry tomorrow. The only problem with my controller is that Parasol always seems to act up. I need parasol quite a few times though.

Well I had made a better KDL3 run, but the video screwed up in the 6th level. I'm reaaly mad. Well just so you know, it was 1 hour 57 minutes. I'm thinking that I'll try and learn how tool assited runs are made so I can make a good run. Is there a place I can learn how?

You'll probably learn fastest just by trying and failing. Post your WIPs in the KDL3 thread for us to pick apart. :)

Since there has been a bit of SCVIV talk as of late, I thought about doing a play through of this game but on hard mode. This should not be considered a speedrun in any way, shape, or form because it's not all too fast nor too pretty to look at, heh. I did this to show off not only what hard mode has in store but to also show off the differences of the Japanese version. There really isn't many differences but to name the ones I can see/hear are: -- There's blood dripping from the main title screen -- The Whip sounds different than in the US version -- The Font is darker -- The Level 6 statues aren't censored -- The slime/poison in Level 8 looks to be blood (it's red) So yeah, the Japanese version is actually pretty cool and is barely different than the US version, really just censorship. This play through is also in hopes that hard mode may be considered for a future run as well as a version change (which most likely won't happen...) Anyway, Here's the Play Through, enjoy (that is, if you can.)

That opening cutscene was pretty cool... you'd rise from the grave too if they misspelled your name on the goddamn tombstone. I played through a star cup in Mario Kart 64. No slowdown or other such villainy was employed. I used toad on 150cc. It tickles me to hear Toad shout "I'M THE BEST!!" while hitting himself with shells. Oh, and note my shenanigans on the big hill in Wario Stadium. Great fun.
