I decided to do a run on this game. I opted for a not-getting hit run on Expert mode as opposed to speed, because I think it's more entertaining. I got a time of 20:00. Well, I guess this means it's time for me to run the game again, since I know I can do it faster, having learned a couple tricks around level 6 that can potentially save quite a bit of time. That run *was* my first time ever playing through the game, so I should be able to do it a bit better...I just hope I can do the 3rd boss as good as I did, that was pretty lucky. I'll submit when I'm happy with my run. Also, as for the difference between normal and expert, as far as I can tell, the only difference, is that on expert, you get knocked back when you get hit. That doesn't happen on normal mode. -Cheez

it's no-hit, though a pure speed run isn't going to be *that* much faster, except for a couple of spots. I can't imagine pure speed getting much under 19:25. -Cheez

Nice, I actually played this back in the day. *awaiting the AVI* BTW, Cheez, you were talking about difficulty levels. Well, the other thing I remember about Expert Mode is that the time limits were much shorter than they were in Normal. But yeah, that's pretty much it. -Josh

I currently have a finishing time of 19:41, 2 seconds faster then yours ;) But im gonna redo some things and that maybe will shave some seconds off. Can submit it later tonight. But if your run is a none-hit-run with that time you can probably beat me again. Anyhows, the result will be good whoever wins.

Holy crap that was exciting... you guys should really consider doing this publically. Like a competition for example. and both Players do it live. and afterwards theres a 10 min intermission to talk smack to eachother, then, alittle more half-time to re-strategize their run, and go live(although the re-strategizing might cause a slower run than the original). Anyways.... the idea of doing it publically, is gold. but the specific ideas that I just listed are probably dumb :).

No need to do it publicly. I do them in my spare time when I need something to do. Though it is pretty fun to have some competition, really makes the runs more refined...and as it stands...WalkerBoh has me beat by 20 frames -Cheez

Wow, way to kick ass. I've got a couple things I'm going to try, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to do them, or if they will save time. Of course, I'll check yours to see if you already did them first. Seems that if I want to beat that time, I'm gonna have to start playing at slower than 30%, and start counting frames. I may have to restrategize some areas and figure out how much time taking damage costs at the end of a level, to figure out the best ways to do parts. But 19:19 is almost the best acheivable time. I'm also still trying to figure out exactly when grenades drop. It seems to be related to number of kills, but I'm still not sure. -Cheez
