Emulator sync settings:

  • Use wip1 timing

Movie goals:

  • Shortest input length
  • Manipulate luck

Movie Information:

This new movie is 54 seconds faster than the currently published movie, and uses a different strategy as well. As it turns out, it is possible to gain 100,000 dollars within two turns of craps at the limit table. The only way to do this is to roll a double 6 twice in a row, a double 1 twice in a row, or a combination of the two. You will notice a pretty big delay when I am picking the craps game on the selection list, it is done to manipulate the following two rolls. The animation time for the craps game is significanctly shorter than the roulette game. The second round of betting must be spread out because the limit on the table is 1,000 dollars.
I intentionally delay the input length by 2 seconds (136 frames) in order to enter a message at the end of the movie. If people don't like it, I will upload the alternate movie (2 seconds shorter).

Truncated: Accepted as an improvement to the current movie.

adelikat: Processing.

Nothing but craps for the YES vote...again. And I say leave the message in. Humorous and stylish indeed.

It would have been funnier if you had erased "Joe's" and replaced it with "JXQ'S" ;) Though I'm not sure how random viewers would have appreciated an in-joke like that, they'll probably get what they're looking for from a game called "Vegas Stakes" by watching this movie. Yes vote.

Alright, so this movie shows: 1) four characters with disgusting faces; 2) seizure-inducing "Congratulations!" sign; 3) awesome message at the end. 'Tis a yes vote!

I don't how you keep churning these out ... such large improvements in such a short time.

Well this is a concept/demo if I ever saw one, but it's a great improvement. Yes vote.

That was the longest three minutes of my life but that joke was all worth it at the end. Yes vote, good stuff.

Thanks for the positive responses everyone :) I whipped up a quick video and posted it on youtube. I decided to make it into a music video though, but all the scenes are intact except for the long boring intro text. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChVp471djUI

That music video was priceless. I vote Yes for totally kicking the game's ass, and for the absurd ending. Nicely done. Excuse my opera illiteracy, but what song was that?

Thanks :) the song used is Con Te Partiro by Andrea Bocelli. I actually like the song, but I just used it more for comedic purposes in this video.

Yes vote, of course. In my previous movie I haven't even played with frame advance and this game is just so bad and boring that I don't bother to play it anymore. Well, I am happy that someone allready beat it :D . Your wish was indeed hilarious.

I was going to vote no for the previous submission. Then hero found a new strategy I had hoped for (actually more, since I forgot you could place 4 chips on the 5-way Horn Bet, instead of 1). As such, I will vote yes.

Any particular reason why this one was updated?

I only wish I could read the text good run BTW, on a completely unrelated, when encoders are putting information in the middle of a run eg minus levels and Megaman. Could they allow the text to remain there for a while longer becuase it appears and dissapears way too suddenly for my liking.

An unfortunate consequence of an online forum is the lack of nonverbal cues during discussion. It's been said that a whopping 80% of communication is non-verbal! That's quite a substantial portion. You see, here on the internets, text is the main form of communication. While this is changing with higher bandwidth speeds and the ability for voice and video chat, it's still based mostly on text, so if you can't be understood through the words you are writing, then your entire message topples to obfuscation.

^^ That reminds me of what some of my 5th grade essays looked like when I got them back from grading... I think my teacher went through a good 15 or 20 red pens that year.

Huh? It's not only the sig, it's the text too, and cropping screenshots is very easy.

Also, complete sentences in forum posts would be appreciated.
