Over at the Impossible Creatures forum ( icp.mednickonline.com ) they've been planning to make a speedrun of all of the campaign missions (15 in all). Most of the people there, though, aren't very familiar with speedruns, though one person does UASes of SMW. IC's an RTS, which aren't often TASed, but maybe we could help them with their quest. So far they only have the first 2 missions, but they'll make more. Here's the thread for the first mission: http://icp.mednickonline.com/modules.php?name=XForum&file=viewthread&fid=4&tid=14041&page=1

As much as I enjoy RTS-running, that was an incredibly uncaptivating display of speed. I like IC as a game/concept, but watching someone play it is something I would avoid.

What if they did it really, really fast? That first one isn't a great mission. Later missions will be more interesting, especially when Rex gets his abilities (Gun, poison, etc).

In any case of glitches being used, I think the priority would be find a way to get creatures ahead of schedule. Another idea would be finding ways to make creautres be stuck. (dancing crocodiles)

Well, kikkin-man on ICP mentioned a bug that causes the enemy to attack with literally all they've got (I.E. killing henchmen for extra resources) so that bug could save time. Some later levels could be done just by labrushing with fliers, and the "blow up generators" level could be beaten by fixing the lab with henchmen while Lucy runs around sabotaging stuff. Of course, it's moot until there's a working PC emulator.

I wonder if there is some way to manipulate the enemy so it wastes alll of its resources on henchmen. Then, charge in with a Lv 3 rush. I think that lv 3s should be the most used fighters with 4s and 5s as the slow moving tanks.
